Sunshine, blossom and wine.

The back garden was a glory of warm pink this afternoon. The sun shone and the wind made the cherry blossom fall onto the grass. I sat a goodly while in the sunshine, fortified yet laid languid by a glass(es) of the noble grape. I am rather partial to the wine of Puglia.
It was only with steely self-discipline that I coaxed myself into the kitchen to make dinner, a chicken tagine. I think I’ve got 12 sleeps to endure before trotting off to Athens. I do like some Greek wine too, but not all. It generally doesn’t taste so good when drunk away from its terroir, just like French wine, but it goes down easily at a table outside a taverna by the harbour and under a Greek sun.

I loved the garden I had in Latvia when all the spring trees started blooming, It was like a fantasy, Always white blossoms on all the apple trees.
