As far as I see now people are arguing which religion is true, mocking each other, making fun with it. I dont thing that's a healthy discussion. And it is neverending. Those kinds of discussions are only letting people earn money by insulting another religion. And that's not nice. Do yo agree we should not respond that kind of discussion?

Should religion be banned....is satan the God almighty....He thought he was and then the real God kicked his butt out of Heaven .....Everyone has an opinion everyone has a view.. I am sooo sick of when ever God or religion is brought up people want to run the other way, scream off the roof tops Lets throw God out of this kick him out of that .. This world needs to wake up God is Here and will always be here and be wanted by someone...The only reason I am even here is because it gives me a chance to talk write about what I LOVE and that Is GOD and only God. Now what I think should be banned is politics...I hate polotics therefore I think they should be removed from discussions because NO ONE can agree about one thing ....thats why ..hmm like religion and churches, politics has soo many different parties...wonder why that is ... anyway ....everyone has a freedom of religion, and to express themselves, freedom of speach. so if anything need to be banned its ...personal opinion...(yeah its as stupid as it sounds)now if you read something that you dont like or offends you ...ignore it. I mean are words going to kill you ...literally if is say bang are you going to die ...no not at all.. so just walk on and let it roll off your back. its some ones opinion, would you hate some one to just tare and rip on you because they didnt like your opinion. its the same thing ...dont respond or even read a discussion that might offend your opinion. and please dont take me wrong. im just expressing my opinion.

That's a good argument what you've just said, jarsofclay. I'm kinda sad people get me wrong and they seem to think that I'm suggesting to take away people's freedom to talk. Well, I am not like they think I am. I love analizing different views, pros and cons and that's all. I just want to broaden my horizon, and express my opinion. Thanks for the positive feeback! I really appreciate that!

No but I wish that people could have an intelligent discussion about religion without all the childish nonsense. I use to use Yahoo Answers alot and it was full of religion bashing. I have been on Christian websites that have the same problem and they are all Christians (the same religion). I don't understand that. I thought peace was important to almost every religion.

By having these discussions sometimes it helps people to understand what they are wanting to know about certain things, the only way to find out is to ask! If you don't like it, it is best to move on to something that you like rather than get upset. There are always going to be debates on Religion, and some insulting will happen, part of Human Nature!

Banned? Chiquitita you don't seem to understand that this country WAS FOUNDED on freedom of religious expression!!!! Not to mention freedom of speech. Maybe it would be a good idea for you to review the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights and the Articles of Confederation. I pray that you are making this statement just becuase you are trying to earn $$$ on mylot and not because you believe our freedoms and rights of expressions should be BANNED!
God Bless You.

Whoa whoa..slow down. I think I know who is upset now! I appreciate every different opinion that's why I started this discussions. Unlike what you said, I'm not here to make money. I AM RICH enough to make my own company, you think I care about a few cents I make here? Nada! Well why should I care about your country law? I'm not American. So grow up, man! That's very offensive what u've said about me!

It's as if using gasoline to put off fire. Instead of produce an understanding between people, it keeps them to hate each other. That's why I think those discussion is unhealthy. Thanks for the response!

I don't believe it's right to insult someones religion, but I don't think the discussion of religion should be banned, because that would be like throwing out the baby with the bath water. Religion is just as valid as most any discussion, and it attracts the same amount of idiots taking advantage of it as any thing else.

I think we should all respect one another's religion, irregardless of what they are.
Topics about religions are very sensitive, and should be avoided. I'm not sure if Mylot does ban topics related to religion. Do they? You've made a good suggestion. I think they should.

well, religion is a very sensitive matter. of course everyone don't want their religions are judged "wrong" or "bad".
but, start a discussion is your own right.you can post a silly discussion like "do you like apple?" and you can also post a discussion like " islam is the most intolerant religion" (just an example.. i'm moslem though)
but what is the point of banning this kind of discussion? eventhough in mylot this discussion is banned, people won't stop debating this matter.
well, i myself had posted a comment in a discussion like this, and i did that just because i was insulted. of sourse what i've done 80%won't change the way of thinking the one who post it. but's ok.
if you want to give response just give it.

the better thing should be not discuss about religions and politics. This because here we are a community of more than 40,000 person with their religion and their ideas. But I would like to separate religion from people. It is not the religion to make a good person... it depends only from the person. But in the world too many bad things we can see under the signs of the "religions" and they are not good.
We can discuss about job, vacancy, dreams, lifestyle, money, sport... but religion is a too much delicate argument.

No. What makes this forum different from others that we are free from on binding by the administrator. That's why this community is leaping ahead. Banning some kind of topic is not going to help this comunity to grow

We can't avoid religious discussion. Human beings has that nature, to seek answers for every question they can form. It is also human nature to broader his horrizon in terms of religion. I myself is really eager to know some things about different religions. As long as we practice respect with everyone's views and opinions, there is no reason to ban such discussion.

Yes, I absolutely agree with your view. We have to teach ourselves to respect each other. No need to force others to have the same opinions with us as the differences is the thing that makes this world beautiful. Thanks a lot!

Religion is a discussion in itself. To ban this would be to return to the dark ages. We Americans love our religious freedom to choose which way to worship or none at all. I do think they should teach Religious Protocal in our schools to teach people HOW to properly discuss controversial subjects. I really hate it when I hear a TV Minister saying things like "Jeasus wants... or Jesus means.. because after all these people are only ordinary humans. And pleeaaze let's keep religion and politics two seperate entities.
