Ive noticed a user is not playing fair. He starts all most all of his postings with a header and the subject line is just a question mark. also his responses are yes no or one sylable and somethimes just jumble. I feel its unfair when some users are genuine and post interesting subjects and put a lot of thought into replies. He has 2500 posts and I assume he is paid for them all and makes no effort. If we all did what he does before long this site would become very boring and soon have no traffic. I wont name and shame but think its unfair. I could make that mnay posts and get paid more if I did this but If we all did there would be no one interesting coming here anymore.

I know exactly who you are talking about. Next time take a look at the tags too. They usually make no sense. I reported him once.

Kind of an off beat question, but I noticed this on your post and it has happened to me too...why do the URL codes show up in our posts? Is it a glitch or something? Do you see it on your end?

I have no idea why that happens. I didn't notice it until now but it did happen to me before. Must be a glitch.

Certain words seem to trigger some kind of code or partial link. Every time I type the word "discussion" it appears as some kind of code-like gibberish. Maybe I need to substitute one letter in certain words, as if they were obscenities or something.

Report the ones that are obvious abuse, and also rate negatively all of the ones that aren't obvious abuse. I'm very committed to ranking discussions in hopes that this will make an impact not only on the mylot payouts and user rankings, but also on the overall system. It's important to use the tools that they give us!

I wouldn't worry about it. Mylot has implemented a lot of new features. They now have a way of tracking these "cheaters". I am sure that if this person is reported enough they will be suspended.

I’m 100% agree with you. How can people do such unethical things? I didn’t notice it until I read your message. Usually I will choose the topic of my interest and start replying to it without reading other comment. I spend my time giving my opinion of the topics under discussion. These irresponsible people should be banned from this web. They are thief because they stealing other people idea and suggestion. Mylot would not be an interesting website if all these people trying to make fast money by stealing other people intellectual abilities. I like to write and give opinion, that’s why I like this website. At the same time, Mylot also pays me a small fee for doing that. I’m really happy that my opinion is being appreciated.

I agree with you. There should be a something done about this. but like you said i just hope no one else is going to be doing this. I take enough time and effort to write my own replies. which is the way it should be. Everyone should take the time and effort to write there on replies.

For the sake of money so many people are beahving like this.Sometimes copying other's dicussion and copying other's responses in the same discussion, blidly replying irrelevant response to discussion and sometimes just one word or replying the same sentence in all the discussion.i hate those and readily i will give a - sign whenever i come across these type of responses or discussions. These type of intruders are spoiling this site.

Use the rating system, then admin will take care of it. We are supposed to grade comments and other users.

Hi
There are more and more of us that are spotting these people.
I have now seen five or six topics on this subject, and all of them have mentioned the same people who are cheating.
I have spent the majority of this evening going through all the posts finding them, and I have reported every one that I have found.
Tomorrow (Monday) the www.mylot.com in box will be full of abuse reports!!!
I lost count as to how many that I have reported tonight.
But I will keep going and get rid of these people!!
The site is much better off without them!

MyLot has been working hard on these type of things. Perhaps they will catch him. I know that if you wanted, you could turn him in by emailing MyLot with his user name.
He is missing out a lot on the discussions, as they really are fun, helpful, and interesting.

We all could. Unfortunatly it seems to be a problem for several myLot users to come up with interesting topics or a vocabulary to go with them. I've started reporting with a ! or giving a - to those type of questions and responses, in hopes that it will alert myLot to the problem and we will eventually be rid of those type of posts. I know I have several topics that are frivolous, but you can still come up with more than one word to respond to them. Also, just a warning, in case you haven't seen the other several discussions on the topic: several people are copy and pasting others responses as their own in discussions. So be on the lookout so you can report them as well. Good luck to you.

I used to get annoyed with these users, but recently I saw one of them touting how he had received over $20for his 1000 posts, and compared tomine, it seems that the Mylot payment algorythm does work, as Ive earned the same with half the posts.
I also make sure to use the + and - rating, for example, topics like your always get rated by me, but topics like "do you breathe" get a ! rating.
Have a nice day!

Yeah! I agree. Cheating should be avoided at anytime. And I also appreciate your being a very professional person in reporting this without putting shame on this user. I believe admin should write a mail to these people and give necessary warning.

I don't know who you are talking about but I try not to pay attention to all these cheaters. i assume he is not the only one. So, if you have noticed him, send a private message to mylot and report abuse. There is always the rating feature that we all have. It's the ! mark next to the comment he makes. Press it and know that you reported abuse.

Yeah I know I see a lot of them, but with what Mylot has recently let all us know is that they will be checking up on people and trying to make some effort to stop people from making a profit for nothing. I don't think you could get paid much for doing the same thing. Lets hope not. I have noticed an improvement in the discussions since Mylot had sent that email so there is hope. Don't let it get to you. Just lead by your own example.

The mylot admin will probably see this also and do something about it.

Hopefully his earnings will suffer for this now that the algorithm for payment has been changed. If you see yes/no responses from him you should definitely report them using the ! button because they are against guidelines.
