What is your opinion about these cruel people that can actually abuse their children, in whatever way possible. Mentally, physically, sexually ect...What do you think should happen to those who commit these acts?? Should they have a second chance at being around their children??

I have never been a fan of capital punishment, but when I think of people who harm innocent children, I think that they should go UNDER the jail! There's just no excuse for hurting something pure and innocent, particularly those who hurt their own children. I cannot even imagine. The stories seem to be more and more prevalent out there about all of the abuse of young children, and I look at my beautiful four year old son and the very thought that someone could do something so heinous to him is incomprehensible to me.

Thanks for responding. I agree I don't see how anyone could hurt an innocent child, especially their own. It's awful. Do they not have a heart? There is no excuse in the world that someone can make for this type of torture.

But then again there are some crazy people in this world that would do just about anything.

No I do not think that they should have a second chance and I think everything they do to their kids should be done to them.

I don't believe they should be shown any leniency whatsoever. They shouldn't get to have custody of the child if they can't take care of them in a loving manner. Children certainly didn't ask to be brought into this world and they shouldn't have to live in an environment that indangers their physical and emotional well-being.
