Where Have All The Good TV Shows Gone?

I sat at my boyfriends house today watching tv with his two kids. One is 3 years and one is 7 months. We ended up having a lazy Sunday where we watched nothing but cartoons since we were watching the kids. I realized something, that all the cartoons/shows on tv today are really either annoying or stupid. I miss the days where we had shows like Who's Afraid of the Dark, All That, Salute Your Shorts and shows like that. Not Dora the Explorer and Doodlebops. I sit there and watch these shows and wonder why? Yes most of them are more educational then they used to be back in the day but they are losing substance, they are so pointless, watching a sponge run around laughing uncontrolably is just pointless to me. Thats why I ask...where have all the good shows gone???

I agree I don't like watching those types of shows with my son. He is 11 and wants to watch the shows that seem so violent. I gues when we were kids the shows we watched were pretty anoying and stupid to our parents as well. You have to look at them through the eyes of a child and a childs mind. Would you still feel the same way if the shows you watched were still on? Have you talked with the kids about what they see in the tv shows they wanted to watch?

seriously. Where did the original Nickolodeon go? DO you remember pete and pete, and erie indiana? come up bring back care bears and the original power rangers!
