Do you hate using public restrooms?

I hate using public restrooms. I will hold it till my bladder hurts and I can't hold it anymore, before I will go. If I can't hold it anymore, I hold my pocketbook. I don't touch anything, I use a towel to turn the water off and to open the door. I just think about all of the people who don't wash they hands, or just run water over them. And what does that do? I also hate using public shopping carts. Cause how many people go to the bathroom, don't wash there hands. Touch the cart, and then you touch the cart.

Heh, having travelled, its a love-hate relationship Thailand was like a horror film, with "squatters", little porcelain holes for you to squat above and do your business. Not to mention many missed their aim. As I said, horror film. And I'd avoid them at all cost. Now Japan? God, the bathrooms wer cleaner than my own, had seat warmers, back massagers, song choosers and vn some with tv scrns showing muisc vidos. The Japanes know how to crap, hat's off to them. I'd love to go to a Japanse public bathroom, anytime, anyday, as its a real pleasure entering one Have a nice day!

Seat warm and back massager I'd like to have that at my house. I read everyones point of view. It is very helpful. It helps me to see how different people, have different opinions, from all over the world. Thanks for taking the time to post on my discussion.

I must admit that when I have to use a public washroom, I don't sit all the way down.

I hold it too. It makes me queasy to even think of the public restrooms. I see people not washing their hands, not flushing the toilet -- Gross!

I am glad to finally meet someone like me. I have the Howard Hughes germ phobia thing when it comes to going to public bathrooms. I try to always go before I go out, then if I MUST go to the public restroom I begin by getting a paper towel right when I walk in, I touch everything with this towel. Then I wash my hands and use the towel I wipe my hands on to open the door. As far as shopping carts go, I either have gloves on or I ALWAYS keep a small travel package of handi wipes in my purse so I can wipe the buggy handle clean. I thought I was the only person in the world with these problems. I have a friend that goes to EVERY public restroom in a 5 mile area. I do not see how she does it when she is so germ cautious about other things.

Hate them, hate them, hate them! I'm the same as you! I'll only go if the pain is so bad, and when I do, I won't sit on the toilet, and when I flush the toilet, I use my shoe. I'll go wash my hands, dry them with the paper towel then use the towel to open the door, then toss the towel behind me, not caring if it ends up on the floor. The shopping carts - my kids make fun of me all the time. I take my shirt and wipe it before I touch it.

I HATE public washrooms as they are most of the time really dirty but sometimes I just don't have a choice if I am that desperate.

I don't use a public restroom unless I absolutely have to. Most of them are disgusting because people are so sloppy about their personal habits and many restrooms are neglected by the employees who work there and are supposed to keep it clean. Not that I blame them. I heard from a friend who lives in Las Vegas about the time she was in a restroom and a waitress brought a tray of drinks into the stall and when she finished, she picked up the tray off of the floor and without washing her hands went back to work delivering the drinks to patrons.... UGH!

Public toilet don’t seem to bother me. It is not good to hold your urine. Everywhere also got germ, how to care so much. People who care too much about cleaningness tend to prone to illness more easily. I previously working with a boss who is very particular about cleaningness and he often get diarrhea whenever he eaten something not so clean. Sometime a few of us go out and have lunch and he is the only one fall sick after eating the food there

Yeah I don't like it either. You see people who leave and don't wash their hands. You see stalls that look like they haven't been flushed or cleaned sometimes. It can just be nasty sometimes to use public restrooms.

I hate the smell, I hate the germs, everything. I will try very hard to not even have to use one. If I had to open a door on one, I won't eat with that hand. Call me paranoid! After taking microbiology, I wouldn't even eat food that's sat out a few hours. Just think of all the stuff it is incubating!

I am the same as you as well. I dont like going there. I am a microbiologist and know what kind of germs lurk aroubd in those spaces. I just make sure to wash my hands with hot water and soap and a good scrubbing before I leave. In fact I wash my hands probably about 30 times per day....to keep out any unessecary infections. This of course helps also to protect you from contracting the influenza virus!
