I have never heard of that. Maybe the tomatoe in it has a value toward something. I know it does with men and prostate problems.

It could be used for people having sugar withdrawals! In the 1800's they used blood letting to "cure" people. Ketchup smetchup old people are crazy.

I have read ( i think it was heinz.com)that it does have some medicinal value. They say it contains a substance called Lycopene abundantly found in processed tomatoes because when tomatoes are cooked that's when it is released. It says it is good in the prevention of prostate cancer and also maintains healthy cell growth resulting in slowing age. You can look it up on the site mention. I think it's that site.

I have no clue what it could have been used for. That is very interesting that Katcup was used as a medicine.
I heard that tomato extract was used to lower high blood pressure.. maybe that is something it was used for.
