i won't! know why? for one thing, almost everyone else is celebrating and there's the possibility that no one can come to my party. second, i get to have only 1 gift for both occasions. lol.

I wouldn't! Christmas is about the entire family. I think if your birthday was Christmas Day, then its kind of like getting cheated out of having your special day, because the day will be special for everyone else, but for a different reason. And you would probably still only get Christmas Gifts, people would say its for your birthday and Christmas, but you'd only get one gift. Not that gifts are the most important part, its still nice to get gifts for your birthday, and have it separate from Christmas.

no i dont think i would because for most people it has already gone from being a religious celebration to a commercialized one. I wouldnt want my bday to be that way

right! it's supposed to be a solemn one, with prayers and gift-giving to the less-priveleged. but people now are overdoing it.... all in the wrong way.

i admire you. in this day and age, all people think about is what they can get from others. may your kind multiply. thanks for the input.

See, this is why I "chose" August for my birthday, As a Kid, I could be assured of two full rounds of gift-giving. A December birthday is every child's worst nightmare!
Seriously though, it is a very special day to share for your birthday. It is also always a very festive time of year, not just another day to most people. And, of course, as adults we're not concerned about getting enough gifts.

quite right! the gifts are more important to kids that's why, we, parents have to plan ahead to conceive so that we don't give birth in december. if only for our kid's sakes.
