My Sister in law had her babies at home with a midwife. I had mine in hospital with doctor. Which one is safer?

I have seen a video in which a lady gives birth in her bath tub. That was in BBC. You can try that if there is sufficient backup.

I had all 4 of mine at the hospital. I wouldnt feel safe having them at home. To many thing can go wrong at the last minute.

Home birth is safe. But it can cause infections in most cases.Postpartum fever as Midwives may sometimes use unsterlised infections and so on.It is always better to go to hospital as it is the safest with all modern tecniques as Ultrasound.

i think it is much safer to give birth in a hospital especially if you have health problems like high blood...

I think it's safter to have a baby at the hospital, because just in case something goes wrong you know there's going to be help right away. I had my baby at the hospital and everything went smoothly.

I believe in a hospital is much safer. One never knows when there will be something wrong with the baby that will require immediate medical assistance. The hospitals are equipped with life saving equipment that can make all the difference for both the baby and the mother.

It's up to the mother. I had mine at the hospital because my labor was induced with all 3 of mine. I wanted epidurals too. I couldn't have had that at home. For women who can manage to have their babies at home...More Power To Ya!

I was more compfortable knowing that if God forbid anything went wrong we were in a facility that could handle it. I know a bunch of ladies who've had great homebirths but it' s not for me

I think at the hospital, just in case something goes wrong . At home i think is something more special for the mom and the hole family, but things can happend at last minute, you never know, i just think at the hospital is safer.

it all depends on the person. it is safer at the hospital if there is complications. but if the person is in good health and the baby is in good health in the womb, then a home birth should be fine with a midwife.

Depends on the situation! I had three babies at home with a midwife. I teach home birth classes. I teach hospital birth classes. Some people are "risked out" for home birth, some prefer home birth. Some prefer a hospital, some are afraid of everything and feel safest in a medical environment. High risk pregnancies are best in a hospital due to risk factors.

I think that they should be born in the hospital. You never know what can happen during birth. What if the baby needed emergency surgery?

i think it's safer to have it in the hospital. since doctors and more facilities for emergency will be available in case of emergency.

depending on the mother and her midwife / doctor. i had a midwife for my last child and i think she was more into the delivery than the ob/gyn who delivered the other 2. i delivered my daughter in a midwifery and went home 4 hours later. it was great and i'd reccomend it to anyone.

i think that having a baby in the hospital instead of at home is safer because they have everything they need in the hospital incase there is a problem

Both are safe, but i think it would be safer for the baby to be born in a hospital where if anything happens it can be dealt with immediately not have to wait for a ambulance to come and get then take to the hospital wastes precious time that can be a life saving. But this is only my opinion.

feel it safer to hv them at hospital as postnatal care given to baby nad child... and also all vaccinations given on time
