Here are some signs that indicate you could suffer from PTSD:
*Involvement in a traumatic event (could have involved death, death threats or severe injury
*You keep re-experiencing the event (through dreams, etc)
*Being Spaced out, not responding (no interest in significant activities)
*Having trouble Functioning (social or occupational)
* More jumpy than you were before the event (easily startled, difficulty sleeping and concentrating, etc.)
If you have these symptoms for more than a month, you could have PTSD.If you suffer, which symptom do you experience the most?

I do not suffer from PTSD, but I want to thank you for posting incase there are others that may have it and not know it. With you posting the symptoms, they have a better chance of realizing that this maybe what they have. Plus, I never knew the symptoms of it, so thanks again.

the biggest part of dealing with ptsd is the constant afraid, not knowing what when and where. i cant even drive a car because i have daymares, i cant not be in a room alone becuse when i am i feel like there is someone there with me (my x) i can not sit with my back to a door. its been years since i delt with my x husbands abuse, the stabbing and the disfigurment but there is always that what if it happens again what if he finds me again what if next time he kills me. thats the constant fear. i am in therapy and i do take meds and i have gotten on with life but there realy is so much more to this illness then moving on, its life altering and its consuming. its realy hard to deal with everyday. God bless
