Are you a fan of green tea? Have you heard that it is good for various health reasons to drink it? Antioxidants and such things are supposed to make it beneficial. What do you think?

.......green tea and us - .......green tea and us
yes, green tea and all kinds of tea for that matter in extremely good for our health. check this out: A. Tea, fruits and vegetables are excellent for preventing heart disease and they help in eradicating any existing heart disease: v Free radicals are poisonous chemical agents produced during the normal functioning of the body. They are linked to the development of several disease processes like cancer, coronary artery disease and heart attack, cataracts, etc. Constant and persistent long-term exposure to free radicals triggers several disease processes. v The body has an excellent in-built protective system for inactivating and destroying these free radicals. But this system also requires the help of antioxidants present in food, to mop up the harmful free radicals. This is where tea, fruits and vegetables come in. v Antioxidants act by destroying the free radicals. Fruits and vegetables are rich source of antioxidants. So is tea. Black, green, and oolong teas exhibit this effect but no effect is seen with herbal teas. hope this helps

Definitely it is more refreshing and have no side effects and is far more beneficial than a cup of coffee, but still coffee is good sometimes but excess is bad. Green tea is a pain to prepare and is not available easily.

Yes, it's supposed to be healthy. And it's now available in different flavors and varieties. Does anybody know if the flavored kinds are as healthy az the traditional kind, or do they have less green tea in them to incorporate the flavoring?

Now that is a question I would like to know as well. I have not seen different flavors, other than lemon. That is a little surprising, since plain green tea isn't the best tasting drink. But, would the flavoring change the benefits? Hope we both find out! Thanks for your response.

Yep, I know what you're saying. Coffee is hard to beat. Is there anyway you can 'doctor' the tea to make it taste better? Will that hurt the benefits of the tea? Just something to think about.

Green tea is very good for your health and does have antioxidants. I, myself, do not like green tea - in fact I do not like tea much at all, I prefer coffee.

Thank you for your reply. Straight up green tea does taste like grass or weeds. I've had some with lemon flavor and it was better. Coffee is what I prefer, but I might try to fit some green tea into the picture. Have a great day.
