I thought it would be funny to list all the things I have painted on in my life. I used to joke that if something stood still long enough, I'd paint it.
Faces, body parts, rocks, windows, canvas, paper, gourds, houses, glass, pottery, metal, clay pots, plastic, fabric, t-shirts, shop aprons, hats, bread dough art, beads, and leather.
I'm sure I'll think of something else later, but that's all for now. How about you?

I like to draw, paint, and make crafts. I love your little skeleton it is so cute I like that idea alot. My niece is wanting me to draw and paint to dragons intertwined together with their tails ending in a heart on her wall. And my mom is wanting me to help he with a mural on her living room wall and to help her paint Dora the explorer and boots on my 5 yearold sisters room. My husband won't let me have free reign in our house so I think it will be fun to do this and give me something to do to keep me busy for a while. My mom can draw very good and paint she took art classes to help her enhance her talent and she has taught me so I can be a better drawer and painter and I love making things. Well good luck and keep on painting because I am sure it brings joy to alot of people when they see your things you have painted and stuff you have made and done.

That dragon idea sounds great. And a lot of fun. I wish someone would give me free reign in a house. I hate renting.

I love to paint. But, only have done it on paper, wood and stones. I am an artist. Look at my website: www.mgcreativearts.com
I also am a rare scissor cutting artist of silhouettes.

I do glue them down. And, for the galleries, they are framed. But, I sell them unmatted, matted, or matted and framed.
I would love to see your cuttings. Can you email me them to look at? Do you have a website?

I spent over an hour last night looking for my papercuttings to show you. Maybe I never took photos of them. I guess I'll have to make some new ones. Do you frame yours under glass? I'm assuming you don't glue them to the background paper, and if not, what keeps them from sliding around?

That's great. Painting a toilet in glow-in-the-dark-paint might make it easier to find.

In fact, www.flickr.com is a great place to upload pics.. you just need to have a Yahoo account. I put up a few pics over there of art I've worked on :) Please let me know what you think! :)

My motto is the same, if it stands still paint it. I keept looking at the refridgerator and it stood in one spot to long. It was painted with a nice field of wildflowers with birds and butterflies flying above. one of my better pieces too. I heart sank when the Darn thing when out. I was crying telling my husband that he was not gonna throw my art away. Well he carted off the fridge and rertruned in about two hours with the door gutted and a nice piece of art for my wall. Then the tears really poured.

Try painting on clear plastic film like they use for microfiche. The reproduction and paint flow is fantastic, and if you happen to be able to use the fiche reader, you get some of the most extraordinary effects. It's like Chinese watercolor, and as subtle as that, too.
The strangest thing I've ever painted on was a window sill, which I was trying to seal because it was falling apart from dry rot. I think by the time I finished there was more paint than window sill.

I too will grab just about anything to paint on it..ceramics, wood, well you know it all. I think my favorite thing to paint on is wood... also, when i've had a front door with the little window in it, i will usually paint it to look like stained glass... it's really pretty with the sun coming through it and gives me privacy.

I've painted doors, walls, houses and they are some of y faves. Actually, I've considered a house to be the most expressive work I've done. Even if you stick with classic colors, or a traditional look, it's still pretty cool to go by a house you used to live in and be able to say "I did that". Especially if the new people who live there haven't repainted, lol.
Okay, now that that is written down, it looks weird. But, yeah I actually have been most proud of a house painting. We're doing a paint job on this house soon, and I'm getting ideas here:

That is a didgeridoo made out of a plastic PVC pipe.
It is first painted with gesso tinted with light brown acrylic paint(the plastic was originally black). Then the skeleton was painted with black acrylic paint.

I got into decorative painting a few years ago, so I've tried painting on a few things. My t-shirts, glassware, coasters, clocks, vases, canvas, tables, front door, soaps, boxes, plates, mirrors, and an old lamp...that's all I can think of for now. Can't post a picture until after I have 500 posts (new rules) but here is a link to some of my pics

I've enjoyed painting on different surfaces too.
My mom would scold me as a kid for painting on almost anything that caught my fancy.
I've painted on bamboo stems and shoots, wood, rice, walls, carpets (got a yelling for that), hands, faces, backs, tree trunks, tables, balls of wool, bread, leaves, bricks, T-shirts, beads, glass, canvas and paper ofcourse!
