So I'm a big fan of unusal and not so popular movies adn indie flicks....do you have any you would recommend? Some I would recommend would be

The sisterhood of the traveling pants. It will make you cry but in a good way.
The breakfast club. old but still great and you can download it free from Limewire.
The mirror has two faces and Nuts with Barbara Streisand (in fact any Streisand movie is a must see.
I love charachter driven movies. Oh you must see "Stranger than fiction" which is out in theatres right now. Great movie!

Breakfast Club omg I LOVE that flick!! I've seen that so many damn times LOL it is one of my fav happy movies actually kind of like Porkys and Fast Times a Ridgemont High LOL
Nuts is that good really? maybe I'll check that out too (I should be writing a list LOL)
I've seen the trailers for Stranger than Fiction and it does look good..

Dog Soldiers - liked that one too
The Cube was FANTASTIC BUT Cube 2 wasnt as good though I did like it however the 3 one which was actually a prequel SUCKED
The Limey I've heard of but never seen, I'll have to check that out
Way of the samurai - isnt that the Tom Cruise movie?
if you havent seen Hard Candy yet you should check it out..it was fan-effing-tastic IMO really great flick...
If you can think of more please let me know..we seem to have simliar tastes in movies and I'm always looking for titles to check out

A Pistols flick! (I just looked it up LOL) both my son and I will be into that one...Some other great music related (in one way or another) flicks that I love would definately be
Sid and Nancy
Rocky Horror (one of my all time favs)
Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (cheese, old...love it anyway)
Rock N Roll High school (also cheesie but love it)
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (right up there with Rocky Horror IMO)

then the first movie that came to MY mind was obviously the first to come to yours, too.
May is awesome.
hmm, i'd reccomend Elephant, Bully, Gummo, i dont know what else, research those and you're sure to find a lot more.

May is one of my all time fav movies but I am also a fan of Angela Bettis (Toolbox Murders is another decent movie of hers)...Elephant I keep meaning to watch (its on On Demand right now) but havent...I've never heard of Bully or Gummo though are they newer or older movies?

Try a very atmospheric and haunting old Japanese film..
Onibaba (The Hole).
And "A little bit of Lippy" ..a Northern look at crossdressing in 60's UK. :)

You should DEFINITELY see Down by Law Directed by Jim Jarmusch. One of the best independent films ever made in my opinion.
