Have you started your Christmas / New Year shopping as yet?

Quite a few of the stores and shops have started offering their christmas and new year discounts and deals. I'm hoping I can do some of the shopping next week to get the best deals. I'm looking for some clothes and if there are good deals buy some electronic items I need for my new home. What are you looking to buy this Christmas/New Year? Have you already started shopping?

I started buying Christmas presents in the beginning of september. I know, that's way to early but I couldn't resist. I think it was somehow wise for me to start this early because that way I always had enough money (and Christmas got really expensive for me this year). For example, my parents are getting cards for "Holiday on ice" as well as some smaller things like a cd and stuff like that. I am currently also writing a poem for them.

A poem - thats a really sweet and innovative gift. Am sure it will be the best they ever received. And I'm impressed that you started your shopping soooooo early!

Hey - its not how much you spend on buying things for your family and friends but how much love you put into it! Some of the best gifts in the world are those that are given with love rather than those that cost a lot. Cheers... and God Bless you!

Well I've done mine a couple weeks ago and I'll try to finish wrapping them all up by the end of next week. I did shop early this year because last year (and the years before that)I had a hard time looking for the gifts that I wanted to buy because most of them are either sold out already or are not on sale anymore. So I ended up with leftover items and I couldn't pick-up the best ones becasue I got annoyed by the large crowd. After that event, I promised myself to buy gifts early on and time it with the early Christmas sale which I did. Whew, now I can relax and just concentrate on what to cook for the holidays :)

Sensible! Shopping in the last minute is definitely quite a bit of a strain on time. It can save you some money though! But like you said , you may just end up with some leftover stuff and may not get what you want.

I do a little all year, but this year I didn't do too much! I started last week, & almost have my son done, now to hide what I got him! I still have to do my boyfriend, & I have no idea what to get him!

Now you got me curious - what did you get your son and how old is he? Did you get these gifts at a store or online? Did you get good deals/discounts on them? Hope you enjoyed the shopping!

I actually started in October this year. I am hoping to be done by next weekend, but I am usually one of those out on Christmas Eve trying to finish up shopping, get things wrapped and just going crazy lol.

I have still yet to start my shopping. Every year I tell myself that I need to get out earlier and do it, and I never do. Oh well, at least it will give me something to do right around Christmas. I guess you could say that I love putting things off. You should see me with homework! :)

Reminds me of myself - last minute project submissions, deadlines and staying up on the last night for any academic deadlines.
