I'm curious...from those that have been posting in MyLot, how much can one earn posting?
today's top users - does this number indicate how many posts they have in ONE day? if so, can you give me any type of range of earnings for these top users?
Very curious.... thanks!

Yep, I'm getting a lot of mixed answers from different people in different threads I've found, and some of them may not even apply so much anymore, because from what I'm also reading now, there was a recent change in the way the posts are calculated and then turned into cash or something.
Which I think is great. From the sounds of it, they are now focussing on quality over quantity, which should really start to promote some good conversations and some answers that go farther in depth than just your average 'yes' or 'no' kind of answers that I've seen spoil a lot of conversations. There's really not too much worse than talking to someone that always responds 'ya'.
What are you supposed to say to something like that anyway lol? It ends up just being a one sided conversation. So anyway, it seems that so long as you are making quality posts, that people can give you replies to, then you are on the right track. Because the better a conversation starts going back and foreth between people, it seems the more money should be able to be made by the people, but at the same time, people can also get to know each other and that makes all conversations better.
I find that when I get to know someone, I want to return to the site again and again just to talk to them, and I think that is what myLot is trying to do. So I applaude them on the changes that they are trying to make to make people earn more for their time as well as improve the quality of posts coming through the site.
So, so far, I seem encouraged by the numbers I'm seeing in some of the posts, which makes me happy to keep trying this site out. I also haven't seen much about people complaining about the site - which is nice. I've only read one post where someone felt cheated, so that's very encouraging to me.
I just got an idea... What do you say, all you new people that are like me... lets come back on this thread tomorrow and report about the amount we were able to make the first day? So then we have some kind of idea about how well we are doing with our posts. Plus, we can give each other an idea of how long we've posted for, plus just how much effort we think we put in for that amount of time.
I'm so excited for tomorrow now... it almost feels like I'm standing outside of a giant candy store, and the doors will officially open tomorrow. Then I can run inside and see all the new stuff I've been wondering about the the past time I've been on the site lol.

Good idea.... but also post how long it took us to make that money. I realize some people can post more thought provoking topics and responese than others, but still curious with everything being equal, how much does this thought provoking person make in one hour of posting? and... let's say this person types 70 wpm. (so typing isn't an issue).
MylOt should have some kinds of rating system... in other words, someone who types 70+, and engages in thoughtful discussions, can earn.....XXXX amount per hour.

lol... I was coming into this topic hoping to see for myself what people had to say, since I'm just new too and am very curious to see just how many pennies do start to add up.
I guess I'll just keep my eye on this thread ;)

It's not the quantity of posts but rather the quality of your postings. With only 304 postings I am at $5.58 so far. I've read of some people that post maybe 100/day and only make $1.00. I have posted only to 10 once and made over .50 cents.

That's certainly the impression I'm getting. That before it was about number of posts, so everyone would give one word answers, but now that wouldn't make a very good forum, so they changed the setup to reward good posts that tell good things.

Wow looks to be a good amount you have earned so far. I have just started and am waiting to see how the whole program works. I am getting mixed numbers for earning by different people and I guess it has to do with quality of discussion and comments. If I am missing any point let me know.

Wow... that seems pretty amazing for just coming to a website and talking with people, since I'd be doing that anyway - just on other sites. And in three days you've managed that number of posts? That's pretty amazing too!

but you have posted a large number of responses jag, so what have your experiances been with the amount of money you've seen show up in your account? And how long would you say you are on this site trying to earn that much? I'm just curious to hear how lots of people are doing with all this.

Yah, that's my question -- how much TIME does it take to earn a few dollars? The discussions are FUN -and I think that brings many of us back here, not SO much the money.
True?

Just make a posts that is pleasing and attractive to everbody. They are more likely to answer or response your posts if topic is all about dealing with problems. Put some image too. As possible response to other posts as many as you can with 2-4 lines. Give always positive inputs. On your posts itself make it profound. Be descriptive for at least 2-4 lines well detailed info's.

It seems to me that no one really has the answer right now to the earnings question on MyLot.
There are many confusing and different answers that are not guidelines to how much anyone can expect to earn. Perhaps in time the picture will become much clearer. And then we will know what we get for posting, answer and referral. I notice than many members do not discuss MyLot refferals.

Good point. I'm sure referrals help.... and maybe even more so if the referrals post quality discussions.
Interestingly, no one really discusses what is needed for Quality discussion. Because what is of UTMOST important to some, is boring to others.
Hmmmm...... food for thought..

I'm not really sure, because I have nothing to compare it to (since my first day earnings aren't in just yet) but I figure, and bit of change that i can make for doing something that I would have done anyway is a bonus. So I might as well take advantage of that, and do it on this site, right?

As I am retired, I don't worry too much about the money as I love browsing the site and giving my opinion. I don't go out very much so it is great to an extra interest. I think I am now hooked on mylot.

Yes, I think if you're normally on a site posting anyway, why not post where you can make a bit of pocket cash.
It is definately addicting!

I joined yesterday also...and still waiting to just get an idea of "earnings per effort."
Still at 0's... keeping figures crossed. It's addicting so I limited myself to one hour yesterday.
Cheers!

I really must limit myself too soon. I went crazy yesterday, and now I'm paying for it today lol... I have so many posts to read through now :) But they are all too interesting and I don't want to start on to my work until I've managed to get through them all... but at some point I'm going to have to start switching back and forth lol
I can't wait for our "zeros" to change... why do they have to be so late on a day like today? Maybe I broke the site for posting too much lol... I see I made it into today's top user's list :P

A LOT of posting went into yesterday lol... (and some today too before the numbers updated, I don't know if that counts or not in the earnings...)
Grand total: $3.53 :P
Whatever, I did try lol.... I can't see myself ever making that much again in one day, cause that was pretty much my entire day. (About 10 hours worth yesterday)! But then again, I was responding to a lot of my own posts because I wanted to show people that I appreciated their responses, so that's why my posting numbers are only at 69 right now...
But also, I had some very successful topics, with lots of posts and lots of thoughtful discussion, so that is important too.
How did the rest of you do after that big long wait?
@gomommygo (83)

8 Dec 06
So...for you yesterday, you posted approx. 69 posts? and made $3.53? correct? so...averaging .o5 cents per post.
I only posted about 14 yesterday (one hour or so...) and made 87 cents. so... maybe .06 per post?
Seems to me...this is a good "filler" type income. In other words, many MANY work at home positions would pay more hourly, but if someone talks on forums anyway, this is the one to belong to. At least you're making some money...

You made more than me! I only made $1.14 yesterday. But I'm still happy with that!

That's what I was figuring... if I would normally be talking to people on forums, now I can do it for a little extra cash. But I won't be spending that long on it each day, because I really neglected my work, which doesn't really pay yet, but hopefully soon will, so it's best if I don't give up on that lol
Even if it gives me just a little bit extra, who am I to say no to it, it's something extra for something I'd do anyway :)

That's still not bad... $1 an hour for talking to people like I would be doing anyways. I don't mind to just do it on this site anymore, since most of the people on here seem like great people to talk to. I wonder if this site will ever put something in place that can tell what the earnings are in real-time, or maybe even just a shorter time. I think that seeing what I've earned so far would make me push just that little bit longer to up that amount the the next dollar. But then again, the suprise of the next day would be gone lol... I don't know, but thanks for letting us know what kind of time it takes to earn an amount :)

its not about numbers its about just knowing how much one can earn for spending how much time.
so its good if people reply here with the money they earn from myLot web site so that newbies would be encouraged by this and can get more tips to earn more.
hmmm its good. keep going and keep posting in this thread
i hope this would bring some money as well :)

I don't care too much about the numbers... but I'm a curious person by nature... and my curiousity isn't going to fade until tomorrow when I see what numbers I ended up with lol.
I know once I'm around longer and start making friends here, that will change, but right now you are all new people, so I'm still kind of focussed on the money part, because hey, that is probably what drove us here in the first place ;)
