What are your thoughts on Killing animals for their Fur or Skin?

Well just my oppinion. Killing animals for food is fine. but I also believe they have to use the whole animal. ie cows we all eat meat. we can all use the leather for shoes and what not. If an animal is sick and will not get better they yes kill and use what you can. use what you can. yes kill an animal if it is over populated. to many animals of one kind is bad and can offset the balance of nature. Then you have some animals that with the growing human population are just plain rodents. these are rodents and yes due to the ever expanding population will need to be put down.

i think its alright if the animal is being killed for another reason, like for meat etc. then the entire animal should be used. killing for one thing is wrong. the indians always hated the white man for all the waste...

I agree with you..in the past, this used to be necessary to feed and clothe the family. However, these days it's not necessary. I don't mind someone or myself hunting if that's the only way to have meat, but so much wildlife has been on the verge of extinction simply because someone "wanted" a fur coat, or a pair of alligator boots. What these people don't realize is what's going to happen when they're gone? I think it's sad that people hunt for sport. Personally, I won't kill anything I won't eat. I've hunted in the past, but it is not necessary anymore. I think animals have every right to live. Yes, they are living creatures and were not put here for our killing pleasure.

I totally disagree with killing animals for fur or skin. I don't even like to see someone hunting unless they are going to use it for food. My husband fishes a lot but he throws the fish back to catch another day. Animals were put here for a purpose and we should not abuse our God-given resources.
