I find it hard sometimes to respond to discussions here. I've been a member for awhile now but look how many responses I made? I only have 2 points.
I feel shy with my English and my grammar. So please people whose native language is English, please bear with us because we also came to make money! We also want to make money! please please don't be rude with us! I beg!:)

You shouldn't feel shy -- the grammar in that post is better than 90% of what is currently on this site! Use MyLot as a place to practice your English and don't worry about the few people who make fun of imperfect language. They are only displaying their ignorance.

my sentiments, too, bungirl. actually, i'm really enjoying my time here at mylot because it's like a brain exercise for me, helping me become more spontaneous in my responses. i understand that not many of us here can write perfect english, but the fact that we're trying deserves some acknowledgment or whatever, don't you think? no need to be shy, but i suggest that you read and reread certain responses to give you an idea as to how senstences are constructed. so far, i think you're doing well, anyway.

Don't worry if your English isn't good. Don't let that hold you back. Get busy posting and it will become natural to you. By the way, I think your English is quite good. I don't think people will be rude to you and if they are, report them.

I found it too. I come from the country that English is not my first and even not second language:) But, now I've been 2 months at myLot. Don't see my grammar, I will shy:)
I've seen that many myLotters are good people. They've tried to understand our handicap..I think that your English is better than me.
So, it would be better if you find enjoyments here, not money only.

Thank you. I'm happy that you aren't shy but still keep on posting for 2 months now. YOu inspire me not to be shy. Thank you. This site is also a training ground right? I graduated college and have a degree and I learned English in school from grades 1 'till college but don't have really the opportunity to speak English most of the time not unless I am in an English subject.

That's great! I am hoping to have a friendly and nice environment here. I haven't really been on mylot and posting a lot until today so I don't know if most of the people here are understanding. I'm glad to know that you were not judged!

I think that your English is good, so you don't have to feel shy when you respond to discussions here.
English is not my native language, and I probably make some mistakes when i try to write in English, but i think that:
1) there are so many non-English native speakers here, from countries like Europe, India, Philippines, etc. I'm not even sure that English native speakers are the majority here.
2) English native speakers sometimes write worse than non-English;
3) writing in English is a good training and can be useful to improve our English language skills.

Thank you! I agree with you that this site is a good training background. Speaking and writing is totally different. I find it easier for me to write than to talk. I have a hard accent. Thank you for the inspiration.

I see that your English is fine .
it is better than mine . so no
need to worry . Just try to post
with good quality .
here people are from different parts
of the worls . some of them may not
use correct English . It doesnt mean
that they should not post here .
All the best .
-------------------------------------------
Mylot guidelines say :
Everyone is welcome at myLot, we have
users from all around the world and
they are welcome regardless of their
proficiency with the English Language.
one should not post discussions,
responses or comments criticizing
members for bad/broken English or
bad spelling.

Thanks! your post is very comforting. Guess I will be more active from now on. I am a member for 1 week now but didn't post because I was reading most of the time here and seen some discussions and responses that some from the english speaking countries are criticizing with the non english speaker spelling, grammar, and some are even rude. You response is very comforting thanks!

I am amused by what you say, because the way you have written your discussion is just immaculate. I don't say I am a professor in English. But I went to a leading school where English is given priority, and according to my knowledge your wording is so polite and humble. If as you say you have a problem with English, who wrote this beautiful paragraph for you?

I went back to read your discussion just to make sure, and I find it a little difficult to believe what you say. Not only have you worded your discussion so well. You have created a profile to match your discussion word by word and uploded an appropriate picture. I think you must be a writer in disguise.

What I meant by profile in the earlier comment was actually the picture of you (the Avatar). You see now I am making mistake. So please I beg of you don't laugh. I think you have great potential.

:) everyone in this community is speaking in english, although there are some members in this community find it hard difficult to write english discussions, i think we must understand them, at least they've done their best to contribute in this community, just like you, we are just mere human beings, not perfect. :) peace.
