have you ever gotten them done? why?
i got them done a few weeks ago because i wanted to make sure i was safe and healthy. i think you're recommended to do them evey 6 months or every year or so once you become sexually active. i didnt think i had anything, but the thought just consumed me for weeks...i was so incredibly scared to do the tests, and i hated the 1 week wait until i got the results. i called the hospital on my way to school when the results came in, and i thought i was going to pass out cause i was so nervous...thankfully, everything came back negative, but its such a scary and stressful situation!

FYI - they are no longer STD's. Insurance companies wouldn't cover costs to take care of STD's because they were labeled "diseases" or some crap like that. So they changed it to STV - sexually transmitted virus's. And I got tested before I got married, before that every 6 months. Stayed clean - and now that I'm married I get tested once a year - just in case.

I've been tested a couple of times, Once when I got my first pap smear when I found out I was pregnant. and once when I went back for my 6 week Post pardum checkup.
Came back clean both times.

I dont get tested as often as I should but do make shure I get tested when I am pregnant. Just be on the safe side. So far I have been very lucky. Since I dont plan on changing partners for sometime since I am married I dont feel the need to get tested even tho I know I should. I am not the kind of person that goes sleeping arround and neither is my husband so I feel extreimly safe in that aspect.

im a married man in an exclusive relationship. One way to guarantee that you stay free of all S.T.D is only to make love to one person the whole of your life, i certainly have done and it works for us, never will either of us need an std test, just keep to one person and nor will you

When you are pregnant they give you one no matter what so the last time was 12 years ago but I really see no need because I am sleeping with the same person for the last 16 years. And for his sake I better be the only person he has slept with the past 16 years.

Of course I've had them done. I believe when a person is pregnant, they check you for std's. Are you in a commited relationship? If so I really would not be worried, but one can never be too careful. Good luck

We are together with my boyfriend since more than 2yrs. Since than I have problems, so I had to make that test. I had the trichonomas, and uearaplasma +,SInce then we received many-many medicines, but we still have the ueroplasma, because we give it to each other again and again. The man never knows if he has any kind of diseas, because he does not notice any symptoms!!! The ueraplasma is a virus, and it is not easy to wipe out. Sometimes, First the woman has not any symptoms neither.

It is safe to do the tests on regular basis after u are sexually active. It not only saves u from the STD but also helps in to put a check in its spreading, if any of the patner is having any STD..
