i think violence breeds more violence. it doesn't solve anything. everyone wants to fight back, 'war for peace', that's just a myth.

well, maybe they believe that its hard to find other ways to stop violence... the most simple way is to use violence, this reason is often encountered in wars...

Might be due to the fact that those who start violence only know and abide by acts of violence therefor the only action to take is violence itself.
