Has anyone here read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis? It has been a favorite of mine ever since my brother borrowed a copy from a friend back when I was a college freshman. I have since read other books by Mr. Lewis but this one remains to be my favorite. To anyone who's read this book, can you give your comment on it? thanks!

i thought that the boook would help me become more christian,, although im alread a christian,,, yet my faith is strong as the foundation of big rock.. it made me thought that the things in this world who makes you angry or frustrated or anything that makes you commit sins are the works of the devil, and no person should be blame,, and im going to work on it and im struggling to overcome my weaknesses.

i suggest to finish the book, its not as it appears when he toast, actually when you read the whole book, C.S lewis just included that toast, and had his second thought of including it, its not part of the letters. he, the writer also had the hard time finishing it since it affected him so much, imagine, pretending to be a devil just to write the book. finish the book, so you will know if wormwood was successful. i suggest you read frank feretti's two books, piecring the darkness and this present darkness. its the other way around, its not just the devils that interact with us but also the angels. its a good book, and it will help you a lot with your stuggles, though its just a novel and fiction but we believe in these things, right? so i just use them as guide. i hope it will help you. god bless

i found the book original, interesting and funny. i can imagine the whole picture as screwtape writes and become frustrated somehow with wormwood. you can balance this book with some of frank feretti's novel like this present darkness. you'll be amazed with the similarity of how the spiritual realm has the access to our world hehehe. because some people who read the screwtape was afraid and didnt finish it.
for a christian, you need to get the opposite of what screwtape is telling so you can get the good advice from it.
try ferettis book, you'll love it
