Have you ever had an operation?

Have you ever had an operation? If so what have you had? I had my adanoids out when I was 9. I had my tonsils out when I was 11. I had a Caesarian section when I was 29 just over a year ago.

I've had a few actually. I had my tonsils and adnoids out when I was 7. I also had to have surgery on my uretha at that time (I had a balloon effect with it). At 12 I had my appendix out, that was so much fun. Then at 21 I had my gall bladder out, even more fun there. Thankfully that was the last one I had and I hope I don't have to have any more.

Ouch! It is safe to say that you have had your share of operations! So, is it true that you don't have sore throats when you have your tonsils removed? My son has never complained of a sore throat but it has only been a little over a year.

I had my tonsils removed when I was about 4-5 than few days later I had the adanoids removed as well, and last year at 26 I had my gall blader removed and that was no fun at all (when they were changing the dresing they puled the stitches out so they had to re do them while I was awake. When my son was born I had few stitches and they forgot the gauze inside so it was infected baddddd after 3 days when they fell out of me (lucky) I was sore for 2 months after that. Oh and I had a mole removed (nothing to do with cancer it was in a place where wearing a bra made it painful)

My son had his tonsils and adenoids taken out when he was 4 years old. Wow! I am so glad he did! He can hear and talk now! He couldn't before because his adenoids were pressing on his inner ear making him nearly deaf. Me...I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago. Wow! It seems like it has been forever. But that really hasn't been that long! :)

When I was 28 I had sever appendicitis. My appendix burst and, one time while I was having a follow-up operation I my heart stopped beating. (I've talked about the dreams I had then in another discussion). I spent seven weeks in hospital. Since then I've had a few other operations, including having my gall bladder removed. The most recent was eye surgery which allowed me to discard my glasses, after 35 years. In between operations I have hardly missed a day's work. I'd estimate only about six in twenty-five years.
