grey dog hooks are they really worth the money ?

I had this thought of letting my my lot$$ just pile up in my pay pal acct and buying a grey dog crochet hook , but wonder if they are really worth the $$ since they are very pricey , pretty but very pricey ... what ya think should i spoil myself ??

I always use antique bone crochet hooks, I love the feel of them in the hand and te connection to the past, and they can often be bought cheaply at sales or on ebay. I'e never heard of the make you mention, I will go and look them up!

yea I have I think 2 of the bone hooks that were given to me by a dear friend but im too scared to use them LOL and the funny thing is that 1 is reg size in lenghth , i hink it would be an F or maybe an E hook byut the other is really short , I can only think that it was meant for a child bit they are still pretty :)

I've been crocheting for over thirty years,and I have used aluminum. I have inherited my grendmother's ,I recently bought a set of Balene hooks and they are nice.
I don't think the expensdive hooks are better but in all fairness I have not used them,but they would not be good fro me,my hooks are always losing themselves under cushions and various other places in my house.

I've never used one so really don't know if they are better.
I like Susan Bates hooks, so don't see a need to spend a lot of $$ to get a better hook.
