Sudoku

I hate maths my head hurts with it and this new game Sudoku baffles me. I just cannot get into it has anyone else mannaged to solve one and does anyone actually enjoy this game?

I don't think that it necessaryily makes him or her smart (I'm not trying to be mean prey15), it just takes some patience. Plus, the game has nothing to do with math, it is just a numbers puzzle. If you can count to nine and you have some patience then you will be able to complete one. Start with one that is marked easy. or here:

Say one of the lines going all the way across is like this. What number goes there? 5 because it is the only number between 1 and 9 not already there.
If you can't you still don't get it then you are not good at logic and math.

i am the one who hates the game
first of all i cud not understand y the whole hard work? y shud i do it..and even when i tried it i was not smart enough to complete it
but world loves it
it sells like eminem in the whole world

I love math and I love Sudoku. You are just trying the find the correct arrangement of the numbers 1 - 9 in each line and each nine-block grid.
I do hate that math makes your head hurt! As a math teacher, part of my challenge is to make math fun for students. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't

It amazes me. Sudoku is one of the most simplistic things i've ever seen. I'm not saying that in the way that it is easy to solve, but in the way on how it was created. Sudoku cought on faster than anything i've seen before.
I have only solved a few, but tried like 20 times. It's a very complicated puzzle. My friend from school, has solved over 300 puzzles during all of his study halls in the past 2 years.

Sudoku isn't about math, it's about logic. You could use letters or shapes or colors instead of numbers, as long as you have 9 different things in every row, every column and all nine 3x3 squares.
I like sudoku puzzles. I think they're good mental exercise.
But if you don't enjoy them, don't worry over it. It's no big deal. Find something else you like.

This game is very popular with a lot of my friends but it baffles me as well. I'll try to learn by watching one of my friends solve the puzzle and I have no idea how she came up with the numbers. Since Sudoku involves math, its not suprising that its not something I would want to spend hours on. I cant see how its enjoyable, I rather read a book.
