few months ago ,i was passing through a busy road in city.i heard "Jan Gan Man" national anthem of india.i turned ,the sound was coming from a political parties campaign van.no body was in the van.some police man were standing near but they were talking and not paying any attention to it. its rule that u have to stand straight silently till the national anthem is playing on.it hurted me.does it hurt u too?

I would get hurt if that happens to me too, I thought we should be passionate about national anthem, but I guess some people just don't think of it as important as some other people do.

i don't think it is an insult. an insult would be not making all your effort to improve your countries.

I think we can carry rules to far and that in a forum where we are expecting it it is good. I think people could use a rule like this to imprison and control people. disrespect for ones country shouldnt be tolerated though

yes, its a wrong thing to do.,..those who had done that should be fined or questioned by authorities,...it is against law to use our national anthem as a means of publicity or for fun...it hurts any Indian who has witnessed or hears it...thanks for bringing this issue here, cause let us express our regret in this discussion being Indians...

but the main problem is that the authorities are puppets in hands of politicians.the biggest criminals are we.how many of us stop and stand to hear national anthem.patriotism is a funny feeling now a days.

Ofcoz it hurts, playing national anthem everywhere and anytime is a common thing these days, no one really care's about it respect. political parties have made it a biggest tools to show how patriotic they are. One more common thing you can remember is purchasing Indian flags on 26th Junaury and 15th August, that flag only has importance on that particular day (Not even a complete day, only till 2-3pm). After that you can see those flags spilled everywhere on the road and dustbins. It hurts too much. Government should should bring ban on producing and selling such things in public. Really something should be done
