It comes down to which should we value more, the life of the foetus or the freedom of the woman. It seems clear to me we should value the life of the foetus more. all the best urban

Both are life: the "unborn child: which others call fetus" and the life of the mother. I think for those who believe in GOd..we should allow God to choose whose life is more value..If God wishes both can live..WE should never presume the position of God.

But if an operation is performed to save the life of the mother that is not abortion, since the intention is not terminate the life of the child but to save the live of the mother. Where that is not the case it is the value we place on the life of the child Vs the value we place on the freedom of the woman. God commands us not to kill. all the best urban

i would have to say that i am pro choice, i think that it is up to the person whether or not to do this. there are many circumstances that have to be thought out on this. i think that it should be up to the person to decide on what they want. i think that there is a limited time though and if it is past that time that it should not be done.

"but what about the baby's rights..how old does one have to be to have rights to live?" One must be 'old' enough to exist. A thing is not alive unless it possesses certain hallmarks of life. Life supporting organs would be one, having a reasonable chance of viability, not being dependent on another's body for existence. Sometime between 12wks and 20 wks should be the end of the option to terminate, exactly where I'm open to debate on- but under 12 weeks a pregnancy is imo clearly not a child/human/life and if a woman wished not to be pregnant she should have the option of ending her pregnancy.

pro choice for abortion. a person should be able to choose what's best for her. though in my case, i will never have an abortion if ever i get pregnant, i still respect other women's choice if they wanna go through abortion. but i still hope women are more responsible these days so they don't have to abort a baby.

What about the baby..does the baby have no rights..or is there a certain age when a creature can have the right to live..what if they start killing off children next....they are not able to make choices for themselves either.

I am pro-choice. That option includes everyone and doesn't penalize anyone. I don't believe that anyone that doesn't have a uterus should be allowed to decide for the rest of us who so, and I thnk that if one is against abortion, they should quietly avoid having one and leave everyone else to their own choices.

I too am 100 percent pro life.. I think if it were us inside ..in "fetus" form..as they like to call it so as to make it sound less.. We surely wouldnt want our lives cut short;)+

I'm pro-choice because I believe that a woman's body is her own body and she alone has the right to decide what to do with it. After all she is the one who must ultimately live with the consequences of her actions and nobody else.

I am usually pro-life,the only time i beieve in abortion is is the woman is raped or incest is invloved. Life is to precious to kill. If you want to mess around then be mature about it.

Even in rape..child's life should be spared..the child can be given immediately to another on birth..It would take a great act of love and sacrifice for the mother to carry the child but not one without reward from God I am sure..

I am not a very religious person but there is in the 10 commandments, thou shall not kill"so if you do abortion, you make a sinful decision. Before getting pregnant be sure you know your choice, cause killing somebody in your womb has nothing to do with your wrong decision, even if the baby becomes abnormal....thats your responsibility to take care of that baby when it comes fr your womb.

Without doubt pro choice. Abortion will happen legal or not, so having a legal abortion done by a medical doctor who is trained to do so is much better then some back alley witch doctor sticking a rusty coathanger up there and mangling the fetus. As for your religious arguments, considering the freedom of religion isn't that just a little bit of a pointless debate in the issue? Why should your, or anyone else's, religious beliefs affect my choices? What if my religion believes in the protection of society over the individual, in which case population control is important and abortion is a logical means of doing this. What right to you have to tell me otherwise? That being said I do think that the pro choice side has one flaw. Occasionally the father of the unborn child is left out of the loop. I think the father has some say (unless the pregnancy is a risk to the mother) over if the mother can have an abortion.
