A Powerful Voice

I really don't understand why Martina McBride doesnt get more credit than what she does. She really is an awesome singer and she way deserves to win some of these music awards over some of these other artists. Sometimes I get sick of watching these awards shows because some of the artists that win are absurd. Martina has a wonderful and powerful voice and not many female artists can sing like her. She also stands up for abused women and supports many of those organizations and anyone who knows any of her songs knows that she has also sings about it. She tops my list among people that I admire because she does so much and she manages to still be a wife and a mother. Good job, Martina.

I LOVE her "Timeless" CD. She sings alot of the songs I grew up listening to and she stays true to the tradition behind these songs...her version of "I Can't Stop Loving You" stands right up there with Ray Charles' version. I am usually very critical of anyone who tries to sing Tammy Wynett's songs, as they usually overtwang it to compensate for the lack of ability to convey Tammy's emotion, but Martina matched Tammy in terms of quality and emotional depth on "Til I Can Make It On My Own" I wish she'd record "Stand By Your Man" because she did such a good job singing it on the CMT 100 Greatest Songs concert

Yeah, she's awesome. did you see the show where all the women sang Reba's songs? Cool...Anyway,Martina was more popular a couple of years ago. Everything goes in cycles. Shania was really popular for a couple of years too. Now, it's Carrie Underwood, Sugarland...it's always changing.

I'm with you. Martina is incredible. Did you see her on the Christmas in Rockefeller Center special? Her performance was flawless. She is amazing. I'm a fan....and I really don't like Country music. She's just a class act.

Some people are dumb that way... but I wholeheartedly agree with you on the powerful singer... she's one of my favorites up there with Reba McEntire, patsy cline, patty loveless and the newest addition Carrie Underwood
