Do you have/want a dog?

If you have one, what type is it? :) I have a female German Sheperd, about seven years of age. If you want one, which breed would you want? And if you wouldn't consider a dog at all, why not (excluding allergies...)? After all, dogs are good running partners, and good companions. =)

Well, dogs can be aggresive so that's understandable. I have had some bad experiences with cats, so I'm not to fond of them. I got so many scratches when I was younger.... lol.

I have a pitbull named Brutus..and he is 3..or is it 2? I mightve forgotten..I also want a chocolate labrador retriever..I think they are just big and beautiful..I love my Brutus though..he is the type of dog that will sit by your bed while youre sleep and not move until you wake up..I never knew anything could be that loyal..

Yeah, the loyalty of dogs is quite amazing. Espcially those dogs that you see on the animal cop shows. They were disowned; abandoned, and yet some of them would stay by the house, in hopes that there master would come back. (Though some of them are TIED to the house, so they don't have much of a choice, do they? :P )

I currently have a short haired chow. He is the third chow I have owned, the other two were a cinnamon male long hair, and a black female.
I have owned dogs all my life, shepards, labs, poodles, mixed breeds. They all have had their good points and all were welcome in my home.
I can't imagine life without a dog in it.
I think my next dog will be a bull mastiff, but it's going to be awhile before I go looking.
