i also believe that filipino martial arts are among the deadliest martial arts around. kali, arnis, and yaw-yan are just a few. im not sure what kali is, i think it's a knife fighting art. if it's not, then there's this filipino martial art form using knives for defense and offense, and it is very practical and deadly. arnis is a martial art that uses sticks (also named arnis), and it's popularity is fast spreading throughout the world because of its combat effeciency. yaw-yan is similar to muay thai, and uses similar moves, thus, can be also deadly. i'll try to research on these to make this discussion more informative.

I'm into Yaw-Yan Martial Arts. Yaw-Yan and Muay Thai are both kickboxing but ofccourse there's a difference to each other. Yaw-Yan has 45 kick while Muay has only 4 kicks. Yaw-Yan and Muay Thai have always meet in the tournaments. Not to be biased, Yaw-Yan always prevail most of it are KO or TKO. Even if a Yaw-Yan fighter fight in the Muay Thai tournaments fighting in the Muay Thai rule, YY fighter can still win.

Do you watch UFC? Try to watch the first 5 UFCs. In the beginning of UFC, the fighters were fighting to show that their martial art was the best. Every fight had a different style (and no 'multiple styles' as they have now). So you can see a Sambo fighter against a wrestler.. a karate fighter agains a sumo, etc. There were no rules at all. Royce Gracie, a Jiu-Jitsu fighter, had never lost a fight in ufc that time (he lost recently, but now there is not a question about the martial art because they fight mixed styles.. it is about the fighter).

i believe muay thai is the deadliest martial art. the science of eight limbs as they call it, it utilizes hands, feet, elbows and knees for combat. well rounded in striking and grappling, the ancient thai people used the traditional form of the martial art (muay boran) to fight in wars. today, muay thai is one of the most popular forms of combat. trivia: an average of 100 people die in muay thai every year. i'll try to research more about this and i'll post again. you should try learn it, i have been practicing it for a while now and all i can say is it is the best and most practical martial art around.

Wouldn't you say that because so many people die, it's not a perfect martial art? If it was so good, you could defend yourself well enough. Just think about it is all I'm saying.

I think Wushu has the deadliest fighting styles too. Wushu was one of the oldest and probably the ancestors of other martial arts. It got lots of techniques and styles and every style has its own fatal blows.

two types of Wushu? are you kidding me? Wushu is chinese martial arts, there are hundreds of Wushu. Kungfu is also like that, it's just a broad term to classify things. So techincally tai-chi is wushu, and wushu is kungfu, and kungfu can be Shaolin, which can be furthur broken down into Northern and Southern style. And on another note, al martials techincally come from China after an Indian monk came to china and formed the Shaolin Temple. and back then it was just about meditation and self-improvement, there was no martial to this art, so again, with the technicality of everything, all martial arts are from India or China. :-: takes deep breathe:-: ^.^

the deadliest is thai because its true that many people die there. But all in all according to some research. Ninja arts or ninja martials arts are the most deadliest. Because they target most of the deadliest or vital veins or organ in your body.

I would say Gracie's Jujitsu. UFC has popularized it and has many people starting their own art. To be honest the best martial art is a well rounded fighter such as stand up fighting as well as ground fighting.

oh and about wushu, i used to think it was the most deadly as well, but now i think of it more as an art form. the wushu exhibitions i've seen were mind boggling, i never knew people could actually jump that high (or move that fast) BUT, that' as far as it goes. i've never seen wushu used in actual combat before. wushu makes you strong, but my friend (who was formerly part of the wushu national team in my country), uses that strength in fighting (err...street brawls), but foregoes the graceful movements of wushu.

I saw a documentary about different martial arts and it's styles. I saw even a filipino who was a student of bruce, he demonstrated the art of 'arnis'. But I think the deadliest and most fatal was 'ninjitsu', they could really give a fatal blow by just their bare hands..

I think the best martial art is vale tudo which is mma. It is bjj, muai thai, and more. Thai boxing is good but how good are you on the ground? You need everything im about to do thai boxing, and jujitsu

I don't believe in the whole "this style is better than this one" the bottom line is the practioner themself. Bruce Lee himself even said that he would have a very difficult time fighting an american boxer, simply because most boxers train so intensely and are very good. No style of martial arts is better than the other..and the ability and of the artist comes from his spirit not from a name or set of forms and techniques.

This question cannot be answered, all martial arts are deadly in their own right, some styles are better in areas than others their is no complete martial art or deadliest there never will be.
