Do you think that ebay fees are getting out of hand?

Well i have just started selling on ebay so know no different. I think the fees are extremely over the top, i could sell on oztion where it costs nothing to list, but ebay has a stronger member base and higher profits. I'm averaging around a dollar profit on each item i sell :S I'm gonna hafta sell a whole lotta stuff just to buy me a big mac meal lol... I'm enjoying it though, and i suppose as long as i come out even at the end of the day i'm happy. they really should do something about the fees though... can anyone say love themselves too much?lol

I think part of the issue of the creeping fees is that they keep adding all these oddball features... Have you seen the thing where you can set up questions (like Coke vs. Pepsi) and then other ebayers can vote? Pointless waste of server and bandwidth (and money).

Yes. I'm not selling hardly anything lately because the fees are outrageous. It's only worth it now to sell high end items. On the plus side though, fees for non-profits are low, so I donate a lot of stuff on Ebay.

yeah the fees are getting to me to along with getting charged by paypal is also annoying. if I sell an item and make a $5 proit in total i am getting about half that in reality.

Yes, ebay's fees are getting insane! I'm a regular seller on there, but have taken the month of December off to enjoy the holidays. Please don't tell me they raised the fees again, did they?? I love selling on eBay, but sometimes it's not even worth it with how high the fees are.

Yes I do think the fees are getting crazy especially when you add the payPal fees but it is the easiest way to make money online for me and as I have a disease that keeps me from getting a job outside the home, I will keep at it. I sell ebooks so I don't have to worry about delivery as it is all automatic, I use my about me page and my world page to draw visitors from ebay to my websites where I sell other things and don't have the high fees. Overall ebay is a great thing and I do love it and the fees are just making me get more creative with how I use ebay.
