I still have a stage fright though i am exposed to audiences but manage to control it or overcome at the end. I sang many times in front of the people and even join a singing contest and my hearts really beats a lot that you can even hear its beating fast. But when i saw the people's reactions towards me , then my stage fright lost and it became a challenge to me. I've tried speaking in public, singing and even dancing.

It's been over 20 years since I last performed onstage at my high school, so I don't know if I have stage fright now. When I was in chorus, I was with 30 or 40 other singers, so between the "safety in numbers" feeling and having rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed the songs, as long as I was not a soloist, I rarely had stage fright.
I never liked giving presentations or speeches in class, but I did those as best I could, especially if they counted as part of final exams.

Oh, and no...I wouldn't dance on stage...I'm no Fred Astaire; I think I have two left feet!

I don't really think I do. I took a theater class when I was in high school and at first I had stage fright, but at the end of the year when we had to do this big play, I was great. My teacher even said I was the most improved. I think I would be O.K now. I haven't tried lately though!!!

I have always been afraid, why I don't know. I think it could only be the fear of failure. But I have learned to use the power of positive thinking and I truly believe it helps. Also tell your audience to be patient with you you are a work in progress, they will love you! Thanks

I used to have a bad case of stage fright... I can sing at home in front of my family, but when I'm on stage my heart pounds so fast that I'm afraid it will be heard by the audience. Evetually when I'm in college I had classmates who helped me overcome my stage fright, I don't exactly know what they did, but now I can sing confidently without feeling nervous.

yes. i always get nervous when i get on stage. whether i am gonna deliver a piece, a song, a dance number or if i get to be the host of a program. i had been to trainings before... but i can't really get rid of my nervousness. sometimes, i statter and i get my brain empty. when i am about to deliver a piece, there's a point where i pause... searching for words to say. when i sing, i usually shivers at the beginning of the song and later on, i get better. when i am dancing with a group or when i dance solo, i have two thoughts if i can execute the steps well. whew! i hope i can overcome this soon!

I earlier had stage fear...but after i have understood the fact that if the subject is in ur pocket the fear automatically runs away.So if u r a trained singer than u must have no fear in performing on stage..and this applies in any stream.Whats say??
