Last time i quit my job, i told my boss i needed to take a week off. so i used up all my sick time and got paid for that. Then i called him and said i needed another week off and to use up my vacation time, so i got paid for that. Then i called on the last day and said "Uhm, yah, consider that my two weeks notice" ehehe :)

knock the door, enter the room, put your resignation letter on her/his table, give your best explanation why you want to quit the job, lie if you have to (but i am not suggest this one)..
