computer related health problems

I've only heard of 2 health problems. One was radiation from the screen, but I think they've ruled that out as a problem so wouldn't worry about that. The other, and I'm having this problem, is with your hands/wrist-carpal tunnel syndrome. I've noticed my hand and fingers that I use for the mouse(my right hand) is starting to get pins and needles feelings and go numb. I know there's special mouse pads you can buy that will elevate your wrists to help avoid that problem. Also people that type a lot have that problem as well. They make a special pad to put under your wrists when you type. I think the problem with that, is when you type or use the mouse, you rest your wrist on the desk, and it does something to that nerve or ligament(carpal tunnel).
