I believe in God. I also believe God created us with free will and did not want us to be robots. I get very irritated by pushy Christians who think they can coerce someone into believing. I feel like as a Christian it is my job to plant seeds. It is God's job to make them grow. Would you want to hang out with someone who repeatedly tried to make you love trout fishing? Golf? Liver and onions? NO! So why would anyone want to hang out with someone who wants to MAKE you believe in God? You can't make someone believe. There are a lot of well intending Christians who need to get this through their head. Even though they mean well, it turns people away. It is much mor effective to just love one another and let God do the rest.

Um..I believe in the Goddess.
It's true atheists are picked on sometimes by other people in organized 'conventional' religions, which sucks. But everyone's picked on at some time or another..this doesn't make it okay, just sad heh.
That's why I'm not sure I really believe in hell lol. People misuse it's reference alot..its not for them to say where people are going to go after they die, anyway.

I'm perplexed as to why an atheist is interested in beginning discussions about religion. I'm not interested in trout fishing, and so therefore I don't post about it. I'd skip right over any discussion with "trout fishing" in the title. What gives? Can you explain it to me?

If people were constantly asking me which fishing hole I went to, whether I supported trout fishing being taught in schools and whether I was offended by trout monuments on goverment property, and if politicians were being elected because they were claiming to be trout fishermen, then I would be very much involved in discussions on trout :).
I am also non-religious. I also use the term atheist, because it doesn't have such negative conotations in my part of the world.

I belive in god for many causes. BEcasue many things are not poping out of the blue you know they have many causes. For example a tre is came from a seed a seed came from a fruit a fruit also came witch came from a tree that is also came from a seed and so on. In that aspect many scientist have tried to calculate the facts reasons and number that might answer this questions. Till one moment said that there is only just on practical reason about this reason and the only reason is it's god's greatest miracle.
But not ot ofense anyone but I wonder even thought jesus knew what is gone ahappen to him why did he said this wor
My lord why did you have forsaken me. Why did he said those word even thought he knew that he knew that is going o happen to him.
And another thing many people is keep on waiting for the lord's will to be done. Even thought that we have our own free will to decide to what we knew that must be done

I believe in Myself. Not my "idea of who I am" but the actual core part of my mind that is aware of itself. This core has no doubt, no thought, no sense of time or space, and no need to define itself...literally I can only say "I am" rather than trying to say "I am something".
Yes, I believe in "God"...not the word, but the actual reality that is connected to everything...you, me, and the world.
I am God. And so are You. Behind the "Ego-self" (what you think you are) is an infinite mind that IS everything and everywhere.

Nope. I don't don't believe in god, or a god or gods. What I don't understand is, I give everyone the right to believe what they want. I don't tell them if they are right or wrong, and I don't try to persuade them to believe what I do. Why then, to people to the opposite to me. When people find out that I don't believe in a god, they tell me I'm going to hell and try to "save" me. Why can't poeple realize that WE DON'T KNOW, and that's the bottom line. We have no way of know who is right and who is wrong, so there is no reason for people to impose what they think is true on me. I don't do it to them. When they do this, aren't they judgeing me anyway, and isn't that sinful for them to do? I say, think what you want, and let others do the same.

I do believe in God, but more importantly I know him and have a relationship with him.
