Favorite Scene from the Star Wars Saga!

Mine's a simple one -- when Luke looks at the twin suns setting from Episode IV. I don't know why, but there's something about that moment...

I'm another one who thinks of Star Wars A New Hope as being number 1 but then I saw it in the movie theater originally. I love all the movies and they each have some great scenes in them. One of my favorites is near the end of the Return of the Jedi. It's after the battle star blew up and Han is talking with Leah. He tells her he's sure that Luke wasn't on it and she says she knows, she can feel him. Han asks if she loves Luke and once she says yes he's ready to be all noble and step away only to then find out that Luke is her brother. His look is so good then. For some reason that scene always stuck with me and I've always enjoyed watching it.

I like that scene also. I also like the one when Darth Vader is dying and talking to Luke.

The one that always sticks out for me is the battle in the beginning of Return of the Jedi when Luke and his friends were trying to escape Jabba the Hut.

me and my little girl love the bit with obi wan fighting general grievous in episode 3. i quite like the darth maul fight with obi wan and qui gon in episode 1 too. in the original movies, like the 'im your father bit' and loads loads more. so hard to pick best bits in best films!

In general I like all the lightsaber battle sence; I could watch a whole movie of just that. As for my all time favortie lightsaber battle scene it is a toss up between the Luke vs. Vader battle at the end of Return of the Jedi and the Qui-Gon, Obi Won and Darth Maul battle at the end of Phantom Menance. If I had to make a choice between the two I would choose the Luke vs. Vader battle, I must have watched that scene over 100 times and reenacted just as many times with my friends in the back yard when I was little.

It has to be yoda telling luke to do or do not, there is no try.

Without doubt, it has to be the final battle between Obi Wan and Anakin. It is exciting as well as emotionally moving.

I guess there are a few that are my favorite. But one scene that keeps me watching time and time again is the final saber fight between Anakin and Obi Wan. (Revenge of the Sith)

My favorite is the lightsaber battle between Luke and Vader, with the Emperor "presiding," at the end of Return of the Jedi. It was very real emotionally, at least to me. If only it hadn't been periodically interrupted by the overgrown teddy bear storyline... :P

What always made Darth Vader stand out in my mind and made him my Childhood Hero was the scene in Empire when he kills off Admiral Ozzel for failing to properly secure the Rebel base on Hoth with Captain Piett next to him. "You have failed me for the last time Admiral" Great line and the look on Piett's face when he gets promoted to Admiral...That "AH Crap!!" Deer in the headlights look... It was a defing moment in Darth's character and it showed us he did not have to be in close proxmity to do the Jedi Choke trick thing.

my favorite scene is the one in which Darth Vader saves Luke from the emperor... i love it because in the hole movie my favorite caracter was darth..and it was nice to see that he saved his soul and became good in the end:P

the best scene would have to be in Episode 3, where Obi Wan and Anakin(Darth Vader) duel with each other with light saber
