can't get some movies to open

i can copy some of my movies then some will say can't open data file and then other won't even come on in my pc why

Are you copying DVDs from a DVD to your PC or are you downloading illegal copies?

A lot of DVD's are now encrypted so you are not able to copy them, as it is illegal.
