Subliminal Messages...Do they Work?

I am reading a book about the subconscious mind and subliminal messaging. I was wondering has anyone used subconscious messages to obtain a goal....does it work? Have you bought tapes or books for this?

It's been scientifically proven that they do. That's why television commercials and movie previews are no longer allowed to use them.
