Do you know anything at all about it, have you been there, or have you heard anything about it lately? Please share, thank you so much

We were last in Zimbabwe in 1971/2 when it was still called Rhodesia. We were there for a 2week holiday. It was absolutely beautiful. My favourite place there was Matopas. Beautiful lake, rock hills, forest. Absolute tranquility. We also visited the Wanke game reserve. Our first real experience of seeing elephants. Bulawayo was a lovely clean city, especially when compared to the cities in England and S.Africa. The highlight was Victoria Falls. We all landed up very wet. The then hotel was an old building with a big verandah. At 15yrs old, I don't think I had seen anything quite like it then. I love old buildings and still do. Zimbabwe ruins was also good. A witch doctor was reading peoples future with the throwing of the bones. I was terrified of him, much to my fathers amusement. It is one holiday I will never forget.

Wow, thanks for sharing your experience there, but you know what...it sounds like another world, i was only born in 1982 so this was way after you went to visit but i think the areas of heritage are still the same although the hotels have come a long way since you went!!!! Thanks for sharing once again, wow, i mis it so much now!!! My favourite place was kariba, namely the hotel we used to stay in...it was one of those places where we used to go at the spur of the moment and it was always great fun!!!! Cheers!!!
