Legitimate Work at Home Opportunites

United States
December 14, 2006 12:40pm CST
Since this is a large community I was wondering if anyone knew of any legitimate work at home opportunities. Not get rich quick or multi level marketing, but legitimate companies who pay employees to encode or mail out from home. I'm missing my 2 yr old daughter grow up. When I pick her up from the babysitter, she cries to stay and it breaks my heart. I need to earn a living for us to live comfortably but I also want to stay home with her too. If I had a work at home type job, I could spend more time with her while still maintaning a steady income. Any suggestions?

I got my phone solicitation job out of my local newspaper. You might want to check out your local salvation army, easter seals, am vets, etc. to see if they have work.

I've tried alpine and they are hard to get into unless you have hard core pc skills.

these jobs are tough to find unless you have a skill to offer. I am a 43 year old married man who is currently going to school. I make extra money doing online surveys (about $100-$125 a month)and phone solicitation for the Vietnam Vets (asking for clothing donations). I only earn like $40-$50 a week doing the phone solicitation...and it sucks.

There are some out there but I've never looked to hard for one. Here's a site you should consider looking on. www.cashpirates.lifesupporters.com. They provide information about the various work-at-home sites that are out there and give feedback about how legitimate they are. I visit there on a regular basis.

As for mail out jobs or encode jobs - most of those are scams. I would suggest going to www.keyforcash.com. They have a HUGE waiting list, but it's not bad. Also, I'm waiting for cha cha to open up, they pay as well. You have to have a sponsor though. (I've got one, but they aren't open to new people right now.)

Well I don't know of anything that will bring in a full time job income but I do know of companies who have actually paid me for doing odd tasks (reading emails, completing free offers, surveys, etc). They actually pay cash...it's not entries into sweepstakes or anything like that. If you're interested you're welcome to PM me for links.

there is an 'ebay guy' down here already and i just dont have the energy to photograph and list tons of junk. my sister in law sells tons of stuff on ebay and does well just selling her own stuff, i don't have that much junk and i don't think it's for me. i may have to put all my mary kay stuff on there though to finally get rid of it all so you never know, maybe ebay has a future for me after all :)

I've been searching high and low and have not come across anything that does not cost some sort of investment, I'm still looking though, I've ended up starting a small business. I can work from home but my husband has to keep an eye on the kids whiles I'm busy. If you find anything just let us know. I'll do the same.

i agree and i'm just ignoring the ones that look like mlm and sell from home. if they would have read the topic, i don't want to do mlm or selling or anything of the sort. I want to do data entry or transcription or application processing, something like that. Thanks for the integrity and the post! Check back with me to see when i find one. I'll post the site and the job and what it intales and all the good stuff. i did find a site last night and posted it somewhere on here if you want to check that out. Thanks again for the post!

I did not say the test were hard. In my opinion they were just time consuming for the little pay and basically all that testing to answer the phone... I just didn't want to deal with it. Just my opinion.

I have worked for www.workathomeagent.com for going on 3 years now. I didn't find the test to be hard at all. But If you have problems with them you can call a PAL (help desk) and they will go over the test with you and give you the answers so you can retake it. I work for 2 different line groups and only had to install 3 programs on my computer. 1 that is used to send the calls, one that runs the program I work on, and another that checks the software you have installed and fixes glitches if it's running incorrectly. The schedule is flexible, and I make a good amount of money every 2 weeks.

well if you dont want anything thats MLM, then i think ebay is the only way to go , i know there are alot of really good comanies that you can work from home for but they are MLM and if you really think about it so is my lot if your making any $$ of anyone then its MLM , I dont really have a prob with most MLM companies cause thats the way things are done if ya really think about it and there are benefits to it , the hardest part of any MLM job is making your first pin level or ranking, I still havent reached mine but that dont mean i dont get paid for the work that i do , I sell ameriplan and I would have to bring in 4 brokers and 6 members to reach pin level, but thats the hardest part , for most its not cause many will say anything to get ppl to sign up to do a job but I refuse to do that if ppl ask i tell them yea ya have to work at it and yea ya have to invest $$ in it as with ALL businesses, but that dont mean that its not worth it , the ones who really want to work are the ones im looking for i want to help people out wether im helping them make more $$ or save $$ on the services that we provide , thats why i joined ameriplan , I know alot of ppl who just want the commission checks and they dont know why they cant keep brokers , lol oh well i guess they will learn some day but i think the fact that if i sign somone up as a broker , the fact that they can actually reach pin level before me says alot and hey when i do then ill get my will papers so i can let hubby and the kids keep getting my paychecks when i ever decide to "go home " but that wont be for along time ... cause only the good die young :P any who hope this helped you understand a few things about work from home places as for my lot well its funny i ahve actually made more $$ offf the ppl that i have referred than what i have earned on my own :) MLM is ok if you know all the facts and such of the company im just glad to know that ameriplan is registered with the BBB that makes me feel alot better and hey i can sell as many memberships as i want and still get paid ;) ~M~ if intrested you can check it out here is the link www.deliveringonthepromise.com/spangle this is a great plan for ppl who dont have any type of med or dental ins

I know that there is a company that hires incoming call processors, for many large companies--check out workathomeagent.net. I had begun the training but it is not necessarily the right fit for me.
