Vitamin A plays an important role in the development of the placenta and the foetus. It influences the growth, the metabolism of skin, mucus membranesn, teeth and retina. Mango is an excellent natural source for pro-vitamin A; the content rises even after being picked before ripening (Aina). Improving the consumption of mangoes would cover the needs of the population in third world countries (Favaro). The content of carotenes is very high also in the dried fruit, and retains high levels over at least six months after harvest (Pott).

I love guavas! I see that you live in Houston; I used to shop at Hong Kong market for guavas---among lots of other goodies---but here in San Antonio I haven't found a place to buy them ;(

There are plenty of bananas in the Philippines, different varieties. There is a big banana plantation in Davao City where I grew up and I grew up eating bananas and so my favorite fruit is banana siyempre!

I love all fruits! I guess that I would say that my favorite fruit would have to be berries. Out of the berries I could not pick a favorite one of them. Sometimes our family just a variety of fruit for dinner. We love all the fruits from star fruit to mangos to berries.

My favorite fruits are oranges, bananas, mango, pineapple, and peaches. They are the best for my health. Especially bananas which have lots of potassium. Oranges have lots of vitamin C that will help fight infection and help my body use iron. What do you think?
