How old was your child when you got there first hair cut?

i am not married yet but i know my sister's baby was just 7 days old when they did hair cut of him :)

I took my son to get his first haircut at around 1 year, they gave him a sucker and he was wonderful!! I didnt get it shaved I just got it trimmed up but it looked great!!

i always cut there hair myself. I think it was around 1 year old when i gave them there first trim. and I saved a piece of hair from each child. i put it in there baby book.

We had my aunt, who went to school for hairdressing, cut our daughters hair on her firts birthday. It was one of the activities at the party. We took pictures and video taped it and had a blast. She didn't really have much hair to cut so it was really just some trimming here and there but it was fun. I don't think her first hair cut that we paid for was until she was 4. that was when her hair really started growing and she could sit still in the chair for a pro to cut it. Up until then it was my aunt who had the job.

My daughter asked me when she was almost 4 to cut her hair for the first time. I was sad to cut off all that long beautiful hair but it was so much easier to take care of when it was cut shorter. My son had his first hair cut when he was 2 and that was by me. I didnt do a god job at all. I had to buzz the back really sort like a bowl cut because I messed it up so bad. I did it again once it grew it a little I trimmed it shorter without buzzing it. It still didnt turn out that great but was something I could deal with. Just a few days ago I cut my sons hair again. Yeah I didnt do any better lol so I had to take him to the barber today and spent $10 to get it fixed. It looks really cute now though. Last night my 6 year old daughter told me she wanted her hair cut. So right as she said it I got the brush and brushed her hair out and cut it. It was really long I probably cut off a least 8 inches. She looks so pretty with her hair shorter and wow it is so much easier to take care of. Before she wouldnt let me brush it so I'd always just put it up in a sloppy type bun on the top of her head. It looked cute but this looks much better.
