The latest was yesterday, my friend and I went out to lunch as our get together, and she ended up paying! She said I could pay next time, said McDonalds sounds good next time, lol but she is a truly great friend and I feel blessed having met her!

I don't need a lot of friends, but the ones I have I feel I can give more time and effort on that friendship and know that they accept me for who I am!

During the summer, I had gone to the doctor and I just got a new insurance. I did not realize that there was a $5 co-pay. When the receptionist asked for money, I had none. But a really nice lady handed me the money. I told her I would pay her back and she told me not to worry about and said that I should return the favor for someone else someday. I thought that was the nicest thing anyone could have done. I have another story too. My grandson was born very ill and I organized a benefit dinner for him to help his parents with some bills. We were prepared for 400 people. We spent a bunch of money. We only sold about 35 dinners. I was devastated. My neices took signs and went out to the road and screamed their little hearts out to get peoples attention. One lady who had been painting her house, came over to see what was going on. At the same time, I had gone outside to cry. She came in,looked at all our information, got to see my grandson and then she wrote us a check for $500. She didn't even know us. By the time I got back inside, she was gone. I was truley amazed. If it hadn't been for her, we would have lost a lot of money that day.

I buy flowers for my partner sometimes .... usually when I am travelling through a certain place where they are always fresh. Had to go to Shepparton recently .... and bought her some things from SPC .... she likes them and was happy with what I got. She spoils me too .... makes special meals for me .... waits up till I get home some nights ..... other nights she will drive 100km to meet me .... and always has a home cooked meal for me to reheat. I did buy her a new mulcher a few months ago ... for the farm but she wanted it ..... and soon we will be getting the new packing shed that she wants too.

A week ago. A girlfriend from work had a huge clean out of her daughters rooms. Gave me a heap of "like new" clothes for my daughter. Since we do not socialise in the same circles no one is to know my daughter outfits are not new. I am no stranger to 2nd or 3rd hand gifts. I am always grateful when I receive anything. I did a clean out of my daughter "too small" clothes the other week & gave them to another co worker who has a child younger than mine... so what comes around goes around.

That was really sweet wasn't it? My husband did that same thing one time. I asked him what it was for and he told me it was just because he loved me. I'll never forget it.
The last time someone did something nice for me had to be today, though. I've got a roto virus and have been really sick for several days. My daughter who really has an awful fear of throwing up (I mean to the point that she's had to have psychiatric help over it and it still hasn't helped much) actually got worried enough that she came to check on me and brought me lots of clear fluids and food for pets, etc.
She didn't actually come inside the house. She talked to me through the door, but for her, this was a major thing.

What a lovely gesture on the part of your husband and more special because his buying you a present like this was most unusual _hope_.
A few things have happened recently and one was that my husband remembered my birthday last month, without having to be reminded by our son that is. Shall be interesting to see if he also remembers our anniversary in a couple of days. LOL
Our son returned home 10 days ago after being overseas for 18 months and bought me a lovely pair of pearl earrings and he chose the pearls personally and had them made up in a design he knew I would like. Lucky me again.
Lastly the young son of friends came over this afternoon to give me an invitation to his end of year function on Thursday. He made the invitation himself and told me that it is at the school and he will be serving me lunch.
As I said, I am one very lucky person to have such a wonderful family and friends. :)

My fiance always does cute sweet things. Today is his bday & i couldn't afford a pressie from me, coz i spent abit on his pressie from his son(its his first bday with him!) so i made a book of "voucher" like u can cuddle me tonight, you don't have to cook for one week, etc, etc.He apsolutely loved it.The smallest things are always the best!!!

My husband was going through a bad time with depression. A close friend of mine sent me some crystals to help him. She was so sweet and would not accept any money for them. I am proud to have her for a friend.

Well with the way things have been going lately for my boyfriend and I, I guess you could say he did something nice for me tonight. After a night out for his company Christmas party, he thought that he'd bring me home Wendy's lol. I think he just did this because he was out later than he originally said he would be...*sigh*..a ring would be nice!
