This was an article in my locale paper a couple days ago about my husbands aunt. Her boyfriend beat her up because his medications did not come i nthe mail on a certain day. He threationed to beat her untill they came in and also threationed to cut her throat with a common house hold steak knife. She has pressed charges and he is in jail.(thank the goddess)
I hear these stories all the time in the news but never thought it would hit close to home. We are all thankfull that she is alive to be able to put the filthy animal in jail.
Any thoughts or comments. Serious people only any joksters will get reported.

I am so glad she reported it and he is in jail. Fancy beating somebody up for that. Hopefully she will not forgive him as some people do because they're lonely.

We think he has been beating her but she just never said anything. For a few years now she was not allowed to see anyone from her own family not even her own daughter. We would take our own kids there for halloween cause she gives my kids stuffed animals for halloween. I am just glad she is alive to testify against him and make shure this dosnt happen to any one else.

Oh my goodness! What type of medication was it? Is he insane without it? Not that is a good excuse....but wow! I didn't know that someone would flip out on another because their medication did not come in the mail. How could he expect her to control that? I hope she is okay! And VERY glad to hear that she pressed charges. Maybe while he is serving his time he will get some additional help.
Wow! Thanks for sharing!

you are a loser for responding to such a serious discussion like that. How can you laugh at something like that. Get a life and grow up.

This is absolutely horrifying. And yes, it does happen WAY too often. Something that should be an absolute rarity (to the point of never happening at all) is common place.
That's so amazing that your aunt was strong enough to press charges! Usually the abuser has the abused so scared and helpless that they are too scared to press charges. And good on the police putting him in jail! In the past police would turn a blind eye to that sort of thing. Did you know spousal abuse was NOT against the law until 1983 in Canada? Outrageous!
I hope your aunt is doing well. Sending her healing energies!

I am so sorry to hear what happened to your Aunt :( I am so very thankful that she was able to get her guilty husband into jail. It is scary to think about situations like that happening to anyone that you know, let alone yourself. I am really happy that she made it through okay and that he is behind bars.

that's a pretty hateful man to beat her because medicine didn't come in the mail. it wasn't her dayam fault. i guess he just had serious anger problems. i hope he stays in jail for a long time.

This is so sad. And i understand when you say 'close to home'. Reality strikes when it happens with someone in our family or friends. But there are ever so many instances of domestic violence, and many of them go unreported. Your aunt did the right thing. Such behavior should never be encouraged.

I sympathise with your poor aunt. What a dreadful ordeal. I would like to know the reason he had to take the medication and if, because it was late, had he been a long time without it. Maybe this had something to do with his violent outbreak. If whoever was prescribing the medication knew of the consequenses that would occur if a dose was missed, then I think he/she should have had your aunts boyfriend sent awy for treatment. It must have been obvious that he was dangerous. Thankfully you aunt came through her ordeal with no lasting damage.

this was really very scarry and brutal, these type of maniacs shoukd really be put behind bars and should be taught a very goo lesson so that they do not create trouble again for anybody else, there shoukd be some strict laws to deal these type of brawls

Yes i know you really understand the situation when it happens to someone you know. This happens a lot of time, but people are not dare enough to go forward and tell it to anyone. your aunt was really brave to do so. I salute her for putting this undeserved citizen into jail. that is the right place for him.

She did the right thing.
No one can exploit us until we allow them to. I am very sorry this happened to her but this incident definitely makes her mentally stronger and better equipped for the future.

it's a good thing she's brave enough to put him in jail. some women would probably keep silent because they're madly in love even if they're physically abused.
