If you could have lived during one period of time in past history, when and where would it be? Why?

Probably in the 1920s. I have always loved that era. Maybe I could be a flapper. I love the dresses and the short hairchuts. I love the dancing too. It could be a lot of fun.

I would LOVE to go live in the mid-1950's and experience that whole era with the rock and roll music, poodle skirts, malt shops, and cool cars! That would be my first choice. I also think it would be cool to live in medieval times. Just for a visit, though! It would be scary what with dragons flying around and all that.

Dad - My Father, painted by me.
This is an interesting one... I don't much care to go back too far in history...i would rather go back to the year 1990. When my father was alive and my sister was just a little 4 year-old, talking cute things and prancing about the house. No point in history could beat returning to those beautiful days:-)

I used to read historical novels when I was younger and always loved the swashbuckling clothes for the men and the long dresses for the women. Then, I thought since deodorant wasn't invented until 1988, it needs to be after that. And I'm kind of partial to indoor plumbing! LOL Now visiting would be fun...like in the Guardian of Forever on the old Star Trek series...step into the gateway into the period of your choice.

I love your idea...I have wished it a lot myself. But then i think...if I don't have enough money to buy land today, what makes me think I would have enough money to invest back then? While land values were cheaper then, so also were income levels. So, unless i did something about earning more than I do, then or now would make no difference, in the absence of spare money to invest...right?

I would definitely without a doubt go back to 1980 and relive the 80's all over again and again. I met my boyfriend in May 1980 (we have now beem married for 21 years and together since 1980). I graduated high school in 82, graduated business school in 84, married my dream man and school sweetheart in 85, moved 800 miles away from home on our first adventure in 87, had our first of 4 kids in 88 and in 1989....I would start the 80's all over again. These were times of growth for me and when I learned all of those life lessons.

I love the look of those big Victorian dresses in the old days. I think that I would have liked to live back then when things were alot more simple.
