Received this from my sister to day and I'm still ROFL. Enjoy.
YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2006 when...
1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile.: )
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.
AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

How about when asked if you checked the mail your answer is four times and there were letters every time.
Or the microwave quits and you don't know how to heat up dinner.
Or the electricity goes out and you have nothing to do?
Or you think a road map can only be found online.
The news is no longer to be found in a newspaper...
And lastly...when someone says bite and you respond with...How many gigs?

These are all so true! My boyfriend freaks about the cell phone. I tell him to leave it! We live in a populated area and will surely be able to find a pay phone if we break down. And if there is some kind of family drama going on - it can wait til we get back from the store.

I know what you mean. One of my neighbors is already on her cell phone when she pulls out of her driveway. I will never understand that.

Haha! This is so true and frighteningly so. I can't believe how many things on the list apply to me. I have been carrying a cell phone for about the past 13 years and if I even think about leaving home without it, I practically break into a cold sweat.

That was really amusing, I needed a laugh this morning. Its true though, and the sad part is you cant really remember living anyother way! Atleast I cant, I can relate to a lot of the things on that last, especially the one where I call to see if my hubby will come out and help me!

Oh dear Claudia you have done it again, brightening our day with a few well chosen words. LOL
Unfortunately I can relate to some of these, but I am not going to admit which ones they are of course. Thanks for the daily dose of humour Claudia, and more so because I did need a good laugh tonight. :)

When I got that from my sister, I called her at work and couldn't stop laughing. I can always use a good laugh, and you've given me plenty on here. Thanks for your response.

Gosh this is so true it is scary. I can relate to so many but No 8 really hit home as i spent the first35-40 years of my life without a cell phone but now if i forget to take it with me it's like leaving my purse behind i need it so i go back to get it. What would life be like without the Internet ,it used to be great to just to have a computer now without the net we wonder what to do with our computer,& yes email is about the only mode of contact and it's a shock if someone Say's they don't have an email (what planet are you from we think). Have you noticed how many people no longer have a land line they use their cell phone as they have such great packages now

This is the best modern joke I have heard in months.I am going to forward this one to my friend Danielle, her husband is a manager of a computer call center and doesn't leave home with out his blackberry, blue tooth and lap top. Can he ever relate. He is frantic if he misplaces one of them. Thanks for the laugh!!
