Do people in other states hate Texans? I always here good things when I am in other states, but some people tell me people hate Texans. I for one don't sit around saying I hate Flordians or Washingtons. I was just wondering if anyone has opinions about Texans. I hear some people saying it is because of Bush being from Texas. Any thoughts?

If everyone hated Texans why would they move here? I married a Californian who I met right after his ENTIRE family moved to East Texas. For the most part, we are pretty laid back and easy going. But some do think people from the south are ignorant and that frustrates me.

LOL, I don't hate Texans, I like a lot of them. I can only think of ONE that I hate, LOL, bet everyone can guess who HE is;). I don't like southern Texas very much, it's way too hot & dry for me. although, parts of san antino are beautiful (the riverwalk) & the alamo was interesting.

There is plenty to see, but since I live here I do get tired of seeing it sometimes. I want to go to California and my boyfriend says it is too crowded. Texas is a fun place to party if you like going to bars. We have great deep sea fishing, the Alamo, Austin is a lot of fun, great concert venues, the JFK museum is here... now that I think about it there isn't much to see. I will have to get back to you on that.

I dont think people hate texans and Texans are givers. They are the greatest when it comes to helping charities and other things like that. They are a good will state really. They love good food, they are pretty helpful and they are great at growing things.

I lived in Texas for a year as a teenager. Honestly I didn't like it at all, but I made some great friends who I still keep in touch with now. Texans were like any people anywhere- some you'll like, some you won't. Texas the state, or at least where I was, seemed to be pretty dull, hot & not very diverse. I grew up in Boston, and lived in Copperas Cove for a year. I couldn't get decent a pizza, or Chinese food anywhere. Forget about "exotic" foods like Japanese or Thai. Beef & Tex-Mex; those were your options. Forget about seafood. The one theater within an hours drive played movies that were already on video. I've gone back a few times to visit friends, and for a vacation it's nice. The slow pace & friendly nature of most Texans is perfect for a vacation.
