What horror stories have you heard? I guess I would think about doing it depending on the invasivness and the money!

No I would never do so because if you have medical problems that you are unaware of then it could do you real harm.

I don't think I would want to, unless I know what's involve in more details.

Medical trials, it seem to be a horror for me because the motif is trial even if offered with money. Our health can not be exchanged with money provided by medical trials. I think it is not in equal value.

I think if I had no other options and I was terminally ill anyway sure I would try anything. Just me who I am now, No I don't think so the money isn't worth the risks. I know they have to do thier research on someone but it won't be me.

My husband tried to participate in an alzheimer's study, but he could not score low enough on a Mini-mental, exam, partly because he knows how they are given. I was involved in administering them all of the time. He got 50 dollars or so for the preliminary testing. He would have gotten $2500 if accepted and a chance to try meds that might help his totally stupid memory. We know enough about meds that if there was a problem we would have dropped it in a heartbeat.
