Do you thinks that this old The Who song reflects the teens of our days?

Teenage Wasteland, by The Who Out here in the fields I fought for my meals I get my back into my living I don't need to fight To prove I'm right I don't need to be forgiven Don't cry Don't raise your eye It's only teenage wasteland Sally, take my hand We'll travel south crossland Put out the fire Don't look past my shoulder The exodus is here The happy ones are near So let's get together Before we get much older Teenage wasteland It's only teenage wasteland Teenage wasteland Oh..yeah Teenage wasteland They're all wasted

Loved it at 18 and still love it today - still makes me feel the same way. I always felt this was my personal theme song. While I'm happy the song is getting known by the new generation due to the CSI exposure, I think that teens today are way to busy posing to really connect with the lyric. I think that Pete Townshend is one of the most talented writers alive, and one of the most under-rated. Long live Pete!

going by the lyrics it seems to be about a group or couple who've dropped out of society and are living off the land, posssibly forming a commune or wanting to, so it doesn't really apply to todays teens, except the they're all wasted line. It's a great song and it'll apply to people living outside or partly outside the system as part of eco/protest groups/collectives, squatters or anarchists etc. btw the songs called Baba O'Riley.

i think its a perfect reflection of teens these days. being a teenager is one of the toughest times in a persons life in my opinion, and a song like this shows the power and emotion that can come from those years.
