They say sleeping pills could be addictive. It is better that we stay away from them. Thanks for the response. Have a nice day!

First, you must know what it is that is causing you to stay up. Are you thinking about something? Or, are you not tired. Don't exercise, or do bills before bed. Try a warm cup of milk, it helps me. Good luck.

It could also be true that sometimes, something is bothering me that makes my mind very active. When the mind is overly active, the doctor said that it causes insomnia. It is sometimes hard to keep a clear mind during bedtime especially in times of crisis. Have a nice day and thanks for the responses!

Yes, I agree with respondant #1. Those are good tips. My problem is mostly medical and a small part emotional. I just try to accept it and not get upset when I don't get enough sleep.
I mostly go to sleep when I'm tired and get up when I can't sleep. I rarely take naps unless I'm extremely tired.

Yes, I suffer from insomnia. It´s no good tossing and turning in bed trying to force yourself to sleep.
I do Yoga before I go to bed, it´s slows your metabolism down and relaxes mind and body. You don´t have to be an expert, I did it with the help of a book.
Reading a good book helps, television does the contrary.
Hope this helps.

Yes, i'm insomniac. It started when I was in college. If so many things to do, I had lots of coffee. And now, even if I'm not drinking coffee, there were times when I cant sleep till 3am or even worse. And this computer had been a great companion.

I personally to not suffer from insomnia although my father does...I dont know how that man copes...He never gets any sleep. He just lies in bed. Hes even tried sleep medication and nothing. I think he says hes been like this most of his adult life. Im the opposite, I cant seem to get enough sleep.

I try to be in bed by 11 pm but that rarely happens. I suffer from insomnia so it keeps me up. Sometimes I am awake until two or three in the morning. I hate it. I would much rather go to be early and wake up feeling refreshed.
Even though I know I won't be able to sleep, I always lay down by 11. I stay in bed for 20 minutes and if I am still not asleep then I get up. When I am up I try to do something active. Cleaning, exercise, etc. Then I lay back down. That usually gives my husband enough time to fall asleep without me moving around and annoying him. lol

Oftentimes i have that. And i really feel bad having into it. Well, just about two days ago, it was horrible as i really can't sleep. I watched tv till 2am, then pc games after....... still my eyes doesnt want to take a nap. I reached 7am... and there i was able to take a nap for just an hour! How really bad it is! Indeed! I think, if this happens one more time, i would really prompt for a sleeping tablet. But you know, before, i used to drink hot milk at night as it is one of the good source to have a better sleep.
