I'm curious what kind of diet others with PCOS are following to lose weight. I have to admit I haven't been too faithful with any kind of diet. I've recently started drinking a LOT of water and that seems to be helping a little bit. But I need to start eating better as well. It's just so hard! Especially this time of the year with lots of Christmas goodies!

it should be mostly low carb diet. And try to excercise. I think the main thing is stay away from carbs as far as possible. But even i have not been faithful at it. Good luck

I have found the low GI is the best way to go with PCOS. It has been a god send or me and I have lost wieght with it too. Good luck.

Typically low card low fat low calorie.. I know that sounds like the all grass and water diet LOL but the South beach program is the best for me. I have a hard time being good too as I love love chips and ice cream ( not together though ). Its hard to lose weight with PCOS. Its discouraging too. My DR said I should be under a 1000 calories a day.. Ya right. Impossible for me so I just do low carb as often as possible throughout the day.

The South Beach Diet works great for insulin resistance which most PCOS women have.

The GI diet is good also for PCOS. I just "restarted" my diet & so far so good (knock on wood). I have PCOS with thyroid problem & type II diabeties. Was diagnosed with the thyroid problem after my second miscarriage last year. Took a break from TTC & will be restarted the injections next month
