Is there one particular bill that you fear the most or hate getting the most? Why do you hate that particular bill?

The gas bill. Our heating costs have skyrocketed over the past 1 1/2 years. It is absolutely outrageous. And where we live you have to have heat, it's not an option. I do keep it down as far as I can without having the kids get sick. I just hate seeing that bill come every month.

I agree that it is outrageous that the gas and electric bills have gone up by so much. I don't know how they expect us to live but we can blame our government and electric companies for this craziness.

This would have to be the Council Tax, which is payment to provide services such as refuge removal and street maintenance etcetera. I appreciate the need to provide such services and that they have to be financed in order to be provided, but the level of dissatisfaction that accompanies much of the service really makes me begrudge an annual bill of around £800.

Sorry, I should have realised the Council Tax is a British term so you would not know it. This is simply a payment to the local authorities to cover the cost of local services, or should I say lack of local services.

I have never heard of a council tax before. I think we are becoming dissatisfied with some of our trash services and now they are not taking away our leaves and yard waste, though they raised our cost.

Property taxes 2 times a year, the gas bill in the winter, the electric bill in the summer, if the ac has to be used alot. The food bill monthly. I know that is more than one. I forgot the car insurance, house insurance. Oh well I hate them all, LOL.

I agree that I hate them all too as they all keep going up and up and up and my paychecks keep getting smaller. :-(

I hate getting my electric bill since I never know exactly how much it will be from month to month and with the rates being increased a lot that worries me more than any of my other bills.

I don't really fear getting a bill...but I do dislike getting anything bigger than a $20. And that is only because buisnesses do not like to take anything higher than a $20 bill. So, if I go to the bank to get my check cashed, I will be sure to ask them to give me 20 dollar bills of less.

The rate increases bother me more than the bills themselves, especially the electric bill. I am used to having lots of bills since I have my own place.

ha ha I completely agree with you there too. Our gas bill increased when it was the worst time to increase....we had a blizzard not too long ago and we have been warned on the news that the increase came at the same time. How convenient for the gas company. grrr

Those credit cards can be very dangerous and never pay bill with another credit card if you can avoid it otherwise you are not getting rid of your debt.

I don't fear opening up my bills as I will open them up right away but I hesitate a bit to send out the check for the bills. LOL

The student loan bill. They just won't leave me alone. I only been away from school for a semester and they're already on my behind asking for their money. We can't afford an extra bill right now, but they don't care. They want their money. So, we just pay it off when we can and ignore their phone calls when they call me.

My credit card bill!!!!! *LOL* My husband pays all the other household bill, so this is prety much the only bill I have to pay. It always feels good to shop & buy, but when the credit card bill arrives, it's always shocking to see the crazy expenses I've incurred...

Our electric rates went up by 60% this past May so we are feeling the pinch here now too. I try to conserve energy as much as I can to save money and bought light bulbs that will help save money on my bills.

I was almost going to say the electric bill too but I am on a set budget with them and its the same amount every month. Its just the highest monthly one I have. But the bill I hate the most only comes once a year. Its our school and property tax. Its about $500-600. And we always forget to put money away for it, or if we do put money away, we end up needing the money for something else. And they won't take partial payments, its either all or nothing.

The property taxes are always very high and they keep going up each year. Of course, all the taxes and bills keep going up. That stinks that they do not take partial payment where you live. They should be willing to do something like that.

I too hate the electric bill because they raised our rates this past summer by 60% which is a killer so now it is higher than usual.

Mortgage bills do take a lot out of your wallet but I don't mind since it is my home and I know it is necessary. I just don't like the fact the monthly payments go up each year because of school and property taxes.
